Oh. I was confused, 'cause, well, you know; I'm not really used to my nobles actually working. :)

Anyway, if she dies, try using on of the pregen'd worlds I put up on DFFD. They have tropical biomes, where elephants appear. Making a new Rhenaya and setting her to hunt will be pretty awesome, because those elephants leave huge stacks of bones and meat after being butchered, and you won't have to do much hunting to get her some stat gains. Also, you might want to try giving multiple dwarves noble positions; otherwise you might miss out on a caravan because your trader is too busy balancing the fortress's accounts.  :P

i dont want to make a new world, this fortress is the first one surviving more than 5 years (well "surviving" i depned it on "my" own char ^^)
i nearly got my magmaflows ready, the watering and sewer systems... i just think what to do with my moat, i wanted to fill it wtih magma, but there is a brook :/ i could make constructions to get over it... but dragons dont mind that much ^^

You could just use the magma to dam it ;)

I was mining into a HFS area, and had set up some fortifications and traps, when demons started flooding out.  I moved everyone I could back behind the fortifications, although a miner and a hauler and some others had died.  And I noticed that one of my fortress guard had managed to slip past me, and had taken it upon himself to take care of the demons.

I saw him being swarmed over by demons, and thought he was done for, but little did I know that this spearmaster fortress-guard-for-life, had apparently spent every hour of every day for the past howevermany years training for just such an eventuality, and when the demons started crawling out, he knew what he had to do, and charged in alone.  Alone, swarmed by demons, he single-handedly managed to kill 12 tentacle demons.  And when his spear got stuck in one of them, he kept going and strangled another one to death with his bare hands before finally being overwhelmed and taken down.

Dodok Kivishast is currently my super dwarf. He's a legendary miner, engraver, mason, and architect with all stats maxed. He's dug about 70% of my fort (about 20,000 to 25,000 tiles probably), smoothed and engraved EVERYTHING by himself, and is responsible for ALL of my stone furniture, which is ALL masterful (I had a lot of marble to burn). This equals about 60 doors, 50 chests, 50 cabinets, and about 100 tables and 100 chairs. He also has a artifact pick and has slaughtered many denizens of my local underground river while mining it out.

He's now in the process of building a masterwork road out of golden blocks, which will be finished with a massive plaza with some kind of sprite art on it made out of colored stones. The road itself should have over 100 gold blocks when finished.

My most awesome dwarf that I ever had was Dumed Leksol

Possibly the most badass she-dwarf ever, she had about 40 kills when she was severly maimed by a Bronze Colossus, who tore off her legs.

She continued to crawl around for a few years, until she was sniped off by Goblins. She had two girls, one boy. Her husband took her place pretty well, ended up a flaming torch when I had to activate the emergency magma trap.

And thus did the dream of dwarven antigravity fade away, not with a massive explosion or a flood of magma, but with a whimper.

I'm going to be depressed all day now.

A lengedary woodcutter who single handly dueled 5 goblins on a bridge over my carp filled moat, knocked one across the moat into the wall where it exploded, mortaly injured the other 3 before a bad dodge knocked her off the bridge.  The dwarf's sacerfice managed to save my fort.

at the begining of this fort I designated one meeting area, that was just one tile wide. every dwarf stood in it and the surrounding eight squares. Im four years in and I have 97 dwarves who are legendary in all the social skills. The net of this is all my dwarves have maxed out stats.

Each dwarf was also issued a leather jerkin, a obsidian short sword and an iron buckler (iron is scarce)

I createda  fort of Savage Dwarves. Crazy behamoths of dwarves who are capable of sending a kobold flying 32 tiles in a single hit.

hell, some poor imigrant was unfortunate enough to get blamed for a failed mandate (before he had time to socialise) the guard came up (Jails are for cissy civilised dwarves) and in a single punch (didnt have the swords finished yet) sent the immigrant flying back 7 tiles and into a wall, were he died instantly. It was freaking insane.

My most awesome dwarf? Lolor of the Chamber of Thunder. From simple Migrant crafter I quickly put her out with the other scrubs on hunting duty (needed lots of leather and bones). Unfortunately I had no metal industry for many years after she showed up.

Over the course of her beginning years she showed great skill at slaying groundhogs, wolves, and tigers. The other hunter i had was seriously injured in his first year, but good old Lolor would actually find ambushers a fight them back. She had well over a Hundred animal kills manly consisting of tigers and wolves, not that amazing except for the fact that more often then not she would have to club most of them to death as to my lack of quivers.

After one particularly large ambush she single handedly held of about 10 ambushers and turned champ. So I decided she would be the head of my military, several years later my metal industry started and she also started wielding a Artifact crossbow. Some of her more notable kills include a couple of sieges, and a Titan, I would but ammo stock piles beside ambush/choke points out side and she would mop up. After losing her Lover to carp Lolor began training with other weapons and in her life she managed to master Swords, Crossbows, Axes, Hammers, and was quite proficient with armor and sheilds. She died after a tantrum down spiral, she went berskerk and felled 1o-20 dwarves before she was mobbed and beaten to death.

She was entombed at the fork in the river just above the waterfall in a platinum coffin with a simple stone statue to serve as her marker. She was buried close to the surface and outside the fort walls for nothing could restrain her love for killing animals in the wild. Lolor of the Chamber of Thunder your legend will always live on in my Tales of Most Awesome Fort Dwarves.

Now that I think about she had a pretty hard life. Out of all my forts this one had THE most casualties do to cave ins, carp, and ambushes. She was one of my "polling" dwarves for general attitude of the fortress and so I quickly grew attached to her. It broke my heart after she lost her Lover (a recruit that died to random carp attack) cause every time I went to read her thoughts it would always finish with: She doesn't really care about much anymore and hasn't had a drink in a very, very long time. Though if you went to read her Personality description she was once a very shy and caring dwarf. :'(
