Parallel Universes Rules
Using 1 week intervals players play out 1 year each simultaneously wherever and however they please.  Once one year is up you post your fortress as if you were playing a succession game, (recording the history and stopping on the 1st of granite.)  All participating users then vote on whoevers fortress they like the most, in the event of a tie: the one with the lowest fortress population will be the winner, (and if that doesn't break the tie then we go off lowest fortress wealth.)  Voting for yourself is prohibited. 

All users then go off the winner of the vote's save file and progress the next year from there. 

In the event that an eliminated fortress wins the vote, the winner of the vote gets to reclaim/start a new fortress and all players play off the location that they choose.

If the winner of the vote has a fortress population of 200 or greater, the "Spiral of destruction" rule is put into effect, meaning all voters need to vote for the fortress they think "did the worst" without actually losing the fortress.   This rule stays in effect until the fortress population is below 10.  With that said, all players should continue to try their hardest to keep their fortress healthy and in good working order.  Trust system folks.

Weekly Session Submissions must be submitted before Sunday Morning.  Sunday is the weekly voting day.  Remember to include fortress population and total wealth.



Put spoiler tags on your story.  For the Sunday Vote I'll summarize the stories into 3 or less sentences per person to recap what everyones voting for and to refresh your memories.  If you want to put your own 3 sentence story summary foot note on your post, feel free to do so and I'll use that instead.  I also request for organizational sake that you label your story by chapter, (aka round.)  This is round 1, next week is round 2 and so on and so forth.

I want to reduce the amount of post clutter in between chapters.

We got 6 players, enough for a start.

So just to clarify, we're all genning worlds and starting fortresses seperately? From your original post I thought we were all using the same world/location to start, hence Parallel worlds. I just want to make sure I'm clear.

If I read correctly you all start different worlds then vote on the best after one year.
from then on everyone uses the same one.
I will watch this thread with great interest, but will be unable to participate.
