Typically of me, something happened to my computer again while i was working on this. I've lost most of the stuff I used do to the BSOD, which forced me to reset the system from an earlier date, now not only have i lost a good 6 months of work and write ups, I can not seem to get past the 14th of Hematite without a Fatal Error. Any tips? Or should we just skip me and let the next person do it?
I'm sure he ain't coming back. Wanna tag-team the next turn?

Fine, I'll start the latest year.

EDIT:  What do you mean by tag-team?  Play at the same time?  Ehh.

EDIT EDIT: Or each do half a year?

Play at same time, in case one of us quits. But, I'm assuming you'll make it. I'll do it just in case though.

ToonyMan's Turn:

Usually when I first start playing a fortress I can guess how good I'm going to start off this year, by how items are organized, or by how well our food stocks are.  Well with this here "Powerwork" the first thing I thought when the loading screen was over was...was....well...

No.  No!  This is not what a good fort is suppose to look like.  It's worst than DeathQuest for goat's sake!  THE WORST PART IS THE ROAD ISN'T SMOOTH!  I WANT A SMOOTH ROAD.

We're low on food, but that could be fixed.  We have plenty of booze.

Do prepared meals count under "other" in this version?
Or is that just a bunch of tallow and soap and other inedibles??

Glad to see this thing is still happening.

Um, should I try to play around the old version now so I know what to expect later on or should I just do that later so everything would be fun?

There is no preparing for this. Only death, destruction, and dwarves.

Yup.  Even I permaflooded the fort with magma within the first season of my turn.  And that was after a great deal of practice prior to my turn.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember
