Hit the road, Jack, and don't you come back no more.

Supreme Court of Florida has disbarred Jack Thompson, unless he manages to do something about it in 30 days...

GTA lovers rejoice, but I guess that will reduce the publicity for Rockstar games a bit. :)

p.s. Am I right in the assumption that John and Jack are effectively the same in english?

John and Jack aren't interchangeable, if that's what you're asking; they are both very common first names, however.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for the poor loon, or laugh uproariously.

Took long enough.  I wonder what he'll do with his time now that he's just another talking head?

The only person I've ever heard of who interchanged John and Jack was President Kennedy, and it never made sense to me either.

Also, link's not working for me.

Let me the first to say I feel heartfelt sorrow for the loss of such an ardent defender of liberty and protecter of our children.

I don't think there will be a big rush.

Jack Thompson has gone stark raving mad!

This entails that he was going to do something important, and worth while that would benifit society for years to come. No.

Urist Thompson has gone into a strange mood!

Urist Thompson has claimed "Video games cause violence", a bad idea, Overprotective parents, Crazy Loons and violence!

Urist Thompson has started a mysterious campaign.

Urist Thompson has gone stark raving mad!

God: Damnit, why didn't you take any of the good ideas or the loyal intelligent people? Although that last item I could live with, the others are just flawed! That's it, time to generate a new cosmos.

Yeah its great and all, except all he has to do is move to another state. He was disbarred from FLORIDA. That doesn't stop him from setting up shop again anywhere else unfortunately.

I thought he was disbarred ages ago...

Oh, wait, there were just proceedings to disbar him. Anyway, about time. Probably won't stop him, let's just hope he never figures out how to use YouTube.

He also has to pay 43-someting thousand dollars. That will make him reconsider attacking games.

I suspect a permanent disbarrment without hope of appeal for basically will make the other courts think twice.

Anyone have an idea regarding how much he's got in his bank?
