Emm. I play this, and this is good.
However, why when I select new game with the age is 1770, I can't build any thing! Only road. Can someone tell me how I was wrong?

And why I can't make Aircraft? I have a city level airport (T_T)

I would guess TTD simply doesn't feature 18th century vehicles. For that matter, it doesn't appear to feature 19th century vehicles either.

Click the hangar at the airport, that works like a depot for other vehicle types.

All vehicles have a set introduction date, and in the vanilla game I think the first train appears in 1920. There are vehicle sets that add older trains though.

Trains. Only use trains for anything longer than about 20-30 tiles. Road vehicles just wont cut it.

Try hauling coal, that's usually a good money maker in the begging, until you can get enough capital up to do a full ore>steel>goods route. Long distance passenger routes are good, so long as you can do them fast. Try find 2 biggish towns that have an uninterrupted straightness area between them, build a track with a fast train. profit.

Oh, and turn on realistic vehicle physics.

There's a pretty good wiki for the game, complete with a few starting tutorials.

If you want your brain to explode, look here. A large part of the fun is to make horribly complex railways though, which should be easy getting into if you're used to DF.

Towns. Dunno what building you need to deliver it to though. I just hover a truck depot around the town 'till it lists goods as something it can drop off.

The Wiki says it increases the population, but I actually saw the population decrease the longer I deliver goods.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

I'd love to play a game. However, I'm busy today, and most of tomorrow. And I'll have to see if my copy still works...

www.hamachi.cc actually.

Also:

Yup.  I find this fun.  I can host it over the internet IIRC but I use a heavily modified version.
The official forums that also contain many, many different versions of it are located:
http://www.tt-forums.net/
For planes: You click on the HANGAR, not the actual airport.
The hangar is the small metal shedlike thing you see on the bottom left  and top middle of the airport in the GIF above

Hamachi?  If not for the (albeit crappy) messaging it provides, if I'm hosting, there'd be no reason to use it.
But in any case, sure, but I don't know when I'll be able to play.
For that matter, if it's messaging, Xfire is 1000x better.
