Alright, I'm up for another reset tomorrow if people are good with that. I'm gonna do it after work so people have time to finish up with this map if they want. Probably around 6pm EST again. Do we want to try the 2cc train set? Or the ECS one Head suggested? I'm gonna vote against another UKRS one for now. Also, votes on other stuff:
-Inflation? (theoretically not actually a problem because things should scale together... in practice I'm not sure how it works out)
-Starting date? (I'm thinking of going back to 1950. The extra 15 years didn't really seem to do much except drain some money on less efficient trains, for me anyway. I really don't know that train set though)
-Other stuff that I forgot but is probably important

Did you end up getting into the game?  And what's up with the connection problems people are having? Are you getting errors? Input from the people who can't connect could help me fix the issue.

Yeah, and no airplanes might be something to try fooling around with.

Until 1.0.3 is out, it is a decision that needs to be made.

Uhh.... huh. So apparently I didn't actually look at Head's newGRFs closely enough to realize that the ECS stuff modifies industries, not the train sets. Right. I'm kind of shying away from the 2cc set because it apparently lacks anything more advanced than electric rails, although it does introduce metro cars, which could be neat. Also, it says electric rails and overall running costs are much higher, although this could be dialed back. I dunno. I kind of want to just use the base set again. Anyone care (in the 40 minutes before I reset the server)?

Open game -> multiplayer -> find server button -> Bay12OTTD server -> join server

Instructions for downloading newGRFs you don't have are a page or two earlier in the thread. This map's ending in about half an hour though so you may want to wait.

Ok, new map's up! We're using the 2cc trainset and ECS modified industries as well as a few other cosmetic newGRFs. Go forth and build!

NewGRF info: all the ones we're using are part of the game's online distribution so when you try to join the game the first time it'll probably be like "hey, bud you don't have those newGRFs!" and then you'll click the

except your newGRFs won't be about Japanese stuff. Then it'll download and you'll be good to join.
