War Dogs... downgraded?

After a long period without fighting, my war dogs seem to have downgraded to hunting dogs.

Is this a known feature?

Did you confirm their names?  Were you ever training hunting dogs?  The only code that makes a hunting dog is in the training of animals and in the arrival of migrants.
