I embarked at a site where a tunnel crosses a chasm, and thus the entire tunnel was visible on embark.

Is there a way where you can increase the amount of tunnels in Wor;d Gen then? Can you et me that seed and tell me where to find it?

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)

I'd also like a way to get loads of tunnels, I have an idea for a project.

Where I shut off all acess to the world, exept from the tunnels, creating a true subterranean fortress.

Ive looked into this, simply having a road through a mountain means nothing, theres not even a road, just bridges over rivers. I wonder what triggers tunneling?

A 'dirt' road means nothing, but the paved roads certainly help.
