Is there any way I can tweak the probabilities for female dwarves? Namely, turn them off for embark?

I'm going for various feral-dwarf builds which require maximum testosterone for optimal brutality.

Only way I know is by way of 're-rolling', or aborting and selecting the site once again for embarkation until you get what you want.  Speaking of which, I would really like a way to have my starting dwarves regenerated without having to go through that..

Make the dwarves all male in the raws.

You could make them all males, embark, and them turn them back to both male and female.

Notice that in world-gen your dwarves will be only few (so stop gen at year 1 or 2). And keep your mental clear of gay, hairy dwarves.

Does it just randomly generate embark groups? Because if it did you could have both genders in, and then just turn off females for the brief period of embarking before turning it back on.

My way that I would do it:

-generate the world
-give your species the [MALE] token
-embark
-save
-remove the [MALE] token

see if this works... in (my) theory, it should.

You can also use Dwarf Companion to change everyone's gender to male after embark. They will end with female names, but you can change names too.

People think so, but I haven't seen any raws proof of it.
