David Bowie chose his name based on the Bowie knife. In Hebrew, David means Beloved One. So David Bowie's goblin name is

Oxu Ngesosp

Not bad.

Ziggy comes from Sigmund which means Victory/Brave/Hardy. Star+dust is straightforwards.

Rukku Exlozu (Brave Stardust)

Slong Exlozu (Hardy Stardust)

No Goblin word for victory.

Yeah the goblin babysnatching is very cool, especially the first time when you're not expecting it.

I've got a question: Theoretically, if a military dwarf had their child stolen and then that child showed up later as the leader of a goblin ambush/seige and the parent slew the child, would that give the parent a negative thought?
No, the parent would have a happy "Took joy in slaughter" thought.

Hmm...that's probably something that should be considered, though. Thoughts related to seeing someone who was once abducted on the other team. Off to suggestions!

Actually, I belive they *would* get an unhappy thought.

Parents and children are tracked through worldgen, and it seems just like toady that they would be tracked through fortress mode. If not now, then in the future.

One time I got hit with 3 goblin ambushes at the same time, one of them lead by a dwarf, one by a human, and one by an elf.

Evil versions of Gimli, Aragorn, Legolas?

Back to the original surpise, the dwarven leaders of goblin ambushes.
Now explained.

What isn't exactly explained is why those "dwarlins" or "gobven" qualified for the honour of being entombed, instead of a refuse pile, or if that is too touchy (they were dwarfs after all) a graveyard.

Why would an enemy of your civ be entomed in your own hallowed halls of the dead?

This perhaps needs some tweaking.
