Did your trial say it would last for 999 days? Mine will run out in June 2011.

Cant comment on the game itself as my computer crashed when I loaded it.

Nah the crash is a result of my terrible computer doubt anyone else needs to worry, it happens on a few games for me.

I'm surprised I've never heard about this before.  I've read the FAQ - sounds a little bit like Ogre Battle, but could someone explain what it's all about?

King's Bounty was the progenitor/predecessor of Heroes of Might and Magic

So the game just came out.  Has anybody played the full version?

Gamespy gave it 4.5/5

Ive heard and seen previews of it... I never seemed too too interesting especially since Heros of Might and Magic never seemed all that interesting to me either.

Though mind you the reason I never could get into it was because I unfortunately played Diciple first which I loathe!!!

I must say that this game is awesome. I have it now. This is a worthy successor of the old King's Bounty game. Actually the game is better than HoMM V., only HoMM III - AB has the ~same product quality. If you like the genre, this game is a must have.  8)

Alright, I got me the demo, and I'm very dissapointed.

I could go on and on about what I don't like, but I guess nobody cares :) Just one thing, is it just me or does this whole game feel like a western attempt to make a jrpg?

On the other hand, the game seems well done. Apart from the restricted camera movement I cant find any major design flaws. It's self explanatory, the UI is decent, graphics and sounds are ok.

But those folks that really enjoy the game: what do you like about it? whats there that makes it great for you?

"is it just me or does this whole game feel like a western attempt to make a jrpg?"

Other then for the Spirits, which I have to admit other then in one of the Legend of Mana games I never seen... The answer is absolutely not... Though that is probably because Ive been in gaming long enough to know the sources.

Ill admit I have some problems with it as well, and will not be getting it. (The Castle ran out of units? That isn't right man!). I notice if you wait a REALLY long time it is really easy not to buy games... Heck when I couldn't buy Mount and Blade I suddenly didn't want it anymore (though I still question if I should buy a hardcopy now... wait a few years... then download all the updates)

I pretty much ended the demo after I beat the second toughest enemy in the Demo (The hardest being the 2nd tournament... which may or may not count depending if it was a possible battle or not)

Well I don't know what do I like about it. I simply love the genre. I really enjoyed playing with HoMM 3. for example, or with the old King's Bounty game.
Btw you should give this game a try, the game is huge and very detailed/diverse. The first continent is nothing, its just a small part of the game. [I am not even sure that how big the demo was actually - gameplay wise...]

The Demo was the first Outer map you are at in the game... it doesn't let you travel to other areas except for a single cave
