how do i disactivate a legendary warrior

ive found these guys easy to get in the recent versions. i only have a sherrif in the guard and yet i have about ten "elite" or "legendary" warriors who i can not remove from activation. im wondering if theres a way for my hunter to become a hunter again, my miner to mine again? if there is no way, i definately think there should be one, given how easy it is to reach now (do you guys agree its gotten easier to raise warrior levels? or was it just me and events that happened on my map?).

Nope. If they´re elite they will stay warriors for the rest of their life ;)

once their weaponskill hits 'great' they are combat-for-life. if they are in the fortress or royal gaurd. then get use to it, they are stuck there. all you can do now is change their weapons from the military screen. changing them to wrestling or xbow may help new recruits survive sparring sessions.
