Elite military dwarves
« on: September 12, 2008, 06:07:43 pm »

So I'm new to posting to the forums, but i've been actively reading them. Anywho, i'm just going to get to the point.

I have a really badass dwarf and i made her into a fortress guard and i didnt notice until now, after she became a great hammerdwarf and thus not allowing me to deactivate her. I've checked all over to find a dwarf editor mod or any ways to fix this and i havent. So now i come here. I want to make her just a military dwarf, the leader of a squad so when seiges come i can have her do what i need, not aimlessly running into the fray.

So does anyone know of any mod that i can use to change her profession, or any way to deactivate her? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated =)

*edit* this might be better off posted in the mod forums, but i'd rather find an in-game way to fix it before going to some third party program.

there is no ingame way, sadly.  Dwarf Companion could probably help you out in some way.

For future reference, the fortress guard is completely worthless at the moment, so don't put anyone good into it. Usually the fortress guard is where you put peasants or military dwarves who have been injured in the spine and won't spar anymore.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
