I shall attempt to obtain sufficient skills in casting magic! And yes, whenever I cast magic, even if it does have its risks, I shall utilize my new staff.

TURN 4
I summon a level 1 demon camel (fire element) while still hidden.
5:You summon the camel. It will listen to you, although there will be an extra roll each turn to see if you lose control(only fails on a 1 for now). You can command it as a free action each turn.

I sit in a meditative possition and attempt to gain magical powers by consulting the heavens.
2: The heavens did not listen to your feeble attempts. Maybe you should try harder next time(or get a better roll).

I push the hidden button.
5: You push one of the 3 buttons and one of the wall-doors open.

I make a knife out of the darkness itself.
5: The darkness floods into a tight space in front of you and keeps coming slowly gaining physical form.
You hold a dagger made of pure darkness(+1 to attacks against light).

I push the other hidden button. The one Zako doesn't press.
5: It opens the other door.

I push the hidden door.
1: It was already open so you tumble clumsily into the next room, landing facedown and confused(-1 on next turn)

2: You try a bit, but don't get anywhere yet.

5: You make a perfect landing on the floor.

I put the  battery in locator thingy
5: Somehow you manage to get the battery to fit, bumping something in the process increasing it's power(0.1 volt, still useless) 4: The guy who made that locator must have been very good, because the very weak battery was powerful enough to run it, although the screen is dim, blurry, and flickering.

Also, for my actual action I search the room to the right on the X axis.

Ah, so since I already have gained some experience in item summoning, I might as well make that my main form of magic casting.

So, I shall attempt to become a specialized item summoner! Or in other words, get better at it!

Experience? This is unique.

I try to steal someone's +1 morale bonus and use my +1 bonus to cancel out the -1 this turn.

Stealing shall be my main skill.

The problem is that a skill bar must reach full before an upgrade.
Then it will grow longer and be cleared again, but your skill improvement will be noted elsewhere.

Well, this turn I went through all of the previous turns and looked for anything that could be used as a skill.

Also, I hope some other RTD adopts the skill system.

Yes, this is a unique idea to RTD, and definetly a fun one, the problem is with the randomness of RTD, within enough turns, people could have thousands of skills :P A'course, being able to see/train skills may encourage others to stick to a few select skills, and thus get better at those ones, rather than using ten completely different methods to achieve the same goal, on account of bad rolls. I can already see people becoming expert inanimate object persuaders, professional golem possessors, and high master flaming meteor summoners.

Actually, yes, I suggest that skills be named the same as Dwarf Fortress skills, from Dabbling to Legendary!

I attempt to summoning a 3 metre spear of doom and a steel tower-shield by using the energy around me.

The camel will scout to the new room.
