Take a little chunk of rock, punch a hole in it, sew it onto whatever you like. Voila, encrusted with dolomite.

So you're saying it's bangled with dolomite.  Ah.  How ... rugged.  Picture that being worn into battle.

Is Zefon Glovedhalls one of your dwarves, or an historic figure?

157 seems pretty early, considering my worldgen usually stops at 300 or just over it. Almost certainly a historic figure.

Yeah, Dolomite is pimp'in, y'all. Bust out your diamond-topped cane, get a fresh gold grille, and get ready to groove!
Edit: okay, sounded funnier in my head.

Uh.  You can CHOOSE what year to stop it.
I've had fortresses in year ONE.  You want megabeasts, do that.

Somehow, the description of that tunic along with your avatar, yields a funny image in my head.
