This has probably been suggested before, but I don't see it.

It would be nice to make owning a barracks meaningful: if the leader of a squad owns a barracks, then the squad should sleep and train there.  If the Captain of the Guard owns a barracks, the Fortress Guard sleeps there.  If another noble or maybe the Hammerer owns a barracks, the Royal Guard sleeps there.  That way we can place barracks for particular squads near where we want them stationed -- very important for large fortresses.

I'd also really like to be able to continue to designate ownership of barracks to whichever soldier I want even after the economy turns on. I already use designated beds for soldiers I want posted out in watchtowers and whatnot, but once the economy hits I can't do that unless the soldier is legendary. And I don't exactly want to place my best soldiers out in my watchtowers.
