Yah, it sounds like minecraft with content, you have obviously missed the point, people dont like content, they like different coloured blocks.
Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.

Well I was interested in this, so I turned to the source of all knowledge: Google.  Guess what I got?

I'm voting that we call it ☼.

Dwarfbux rolls off the tongue better.

Hmmm ... Dwarf credits?  Dwedits?

Dwarf liri.
Dwarf marks. - Dwarfmarks.  I like this one.
Dwarfos?  (as in dwarven euros)
Dwarf pounds, dwarf sterling, dwarf yen.

Dwarven ordinary shares (for calculating the Net Fortress Value, of course)

Dwarven legendaries.

Shiny pebbles?  Beer barrel corks?  vermin carapaces?  Gravel?

I like to call them metal scraps (silver scraps, gold scraps, or just scraps for the sake of simplicity).

Hmmm... scraps. I like the sound of that. The artifact costs 42000 scraps. It sounds nice.

How about Limul. (from Toady's dwarven language, word for gold, same spelling is plural for golds).

I was using this for Evilcheerio's Tholfeb succession game.  :)

I'm fond of 'turtles', myself, since we eat so many and I have thousands of shells in the dump. ;D

If you want it to sound natural you have to take the word "Dwarf" out of it.  I'd say something like Fortbucks, or Ching.  IF that's a slur to somebody, I'm really sorry, I don't think it is, and yet it kinda sounds like it could be.

You're thinking of "chink", which is apparently a slur against people of the Chinese persuasion.  So far as I know, "ching" has no negative connotations.

I'd say "Pling" sounds better than "Ching", personally (although "pla-pling" doesn't have the same ring to it as "cha-ching").  I'd rather use "Crowns" than plings, however.

It's also nice to have something that has a pleasant abbreviated form.  "Turtles" can be represented as "Trts.", as in "10Trts. for a felsite mug".  Crowns look more like "Corns" when abbreviated to Crns., but could work as just Cs.

Gems are also represented by that starburst, if I'm not mistaken.  10000 Gs for that artifact granite mug, perhaps?

Ooo, I like scraps too.

Dwarfos?  (as in dwarven euros)

No offense but Euros is about the stupidest name ever for a currency (this coming form a country where we have somthing called a toonie).  Dwarfo's isn't so bad for some reason... really sounds more like a cereal though.  Maybe it's not bad because it sounds kinda tasty.

You know, we could just leave off all names; if I say the adamentine sword created in the Skyseal bloodline game was worth 1.4 million, everyone knows what I'm talking about.

However what about "Denarius/Denarii"? Ancient and sounds cool!  ;)
