Those purple blobs are you best friend! I used to hate them, but now they prove an invaluable tool. Also get health to 10 as fast as you can, as that halves the damage from most missile weapons. (it also allows the "human-missile-barrier" method of pacifist killing, be careful with that one )

The game still marked me as a murderer because of my 5 kills, 3 of which (Krotera, Asha and Iosa) couldn't be avoided at all... The ending was mostly the same though. BTW, what was that green sector before Iosa? (the one where the 2 lovers and that agreeable tasen ecaped into) Iji said I should only go forward if I knew what was going on. I didn't and naturally it was confusing (lots of dead bodies, presumably of humans, and lots of assassins, very much alive, and with me trying to be pacifist!).

It is possible to beat the game with 0 kills.(see "recent" update) You still don't get any meta-game rewards, but I think the manual said there was a unique text.

I found this game a few weeks ago and gave it a try. I'm not really into platforming games anymore. I tried cave story and spelunky, and while they were fun they did not hold my attention. Iji, on the other hand sucked me in and I sat down and played it until I beat it.

You are just innocent if you beat the game with a handful of kills.
To be a pacifist you must beat the game with 0 kills, excluding robots.

This means that you can't kill:
Krotera
Asha
Isoa

These three bosses either take care of themselves or can be avoided.
Krotera: If you uphold the truce in Sector 3 (Iji will remark on this when confronting Krotera) he will take care of himself...
Asha: You can completely skip the final Asha fight and for that matter half of Sector X with a bit of thinking and cracking (how can you shoot through those barricades?).
Isoa: If you haven't killed the Tasen girlfriend in Sector 3 (the last one before Krotera), the Tasen base in Sector 9 will have a teleporter to Deep Sector. Either make it out of this alive or die and continue on to meet an ally that will take care of Isoa for you.

You should also know that the first Asha fight and all other assassins do not count as kills because they teleport away from the battle. Tor also does not count as a kill because you don't actually kill him. Be very careful with the reflector, turrets, and splash damage to make sure you don't accidentally kill someone.

If you've done it properly and not killed a soul by the fight with Tor, you will get a special gift for your work...

I have completed everything in this game, all difficulty settings, pacifist, all secrets, all posters, all three secret weapons, etc... I was very bored

Hmmm I just found a "secret" way to beat Asha in the first fight with him.

Combine a Devastator with a Rocket Launcher to get a Nuke, use it in the fight and he'll say something along the lines of: "Where the hell did YOU get a Nuke from human?"

What a magnificent game, it's been a long time since I played something this interesting.
I beated it on hard, with a "one woman army" kill count, and am going to try the peaceful way now. I'm curious about how the events will change.
Anyway, a spoilery question: there are places(e.g. in sector 2) that you cannot reach by jumping, even with the jump upgrade. So, how do you do it then? Or are these only a fool's bait, designed to make me spend an hour trying to find a way to jump higher(I read somewhere, in one of the logs of the "powered jump", so I'm hopeful)

Are you referring the to jumps needed to reach the supercharge in sector 2?

After crawling around in the vents, you should end up in a tall, sloped room with a missle launching turret at one end. You need to trigger it, run to the right, and jump into a missle to 'jump' up onto the lift to the right. Then you can go down, retrieve the missle launcher from the stack of boxes to the right. Then backtrack to the weak wall to the right of the super charge, destroy it, and retrieve it with your jump upgrade.
