I believe Untelligent is saying that some civs of a particular entity might or might not HAVE masks. Not that the numbers they produce are random.

Sorta ninja'd.

I had an elf civilisation where pretty much everyone wore the exact same clothing:  Tunic, trousers, robe, socks, sandals, gloves, and head veil.  A bit too much to be randomness and coincidence, I think, especially since you don't necessarily see head veils all that often.

(I then proceeded to wipe them out as an adventurer, because, hey, elves.)

I'm talking about the bronze colossus. It's supposed to be made entirely of bronze.
But really he's just a softie inside. They all are really. When megabeasts come to your fort you never welcome them inside and give them a hug, do you. You heartless bastards...

I ensured that my Elves all wore masks as part of their armor set.

Like, big painted wooden masks. It helps them feel more badass.

I had some elf merchants who wore turbans once.....

As for those iron masks, they were an additional source of goblinite at the time, so I was happy with that.

I agree with Vester, it would have been cool if they were painted and stuff even though they weren't ingame.

If you find a person of your own race who has become integrated into another civ, they will adopt the speech patterns of that civ. I found a legendary elf farmer in a goblin dark tower. He greeted me with "Hello, elf."

I still think that the whole fortress should be flooded with magma the moment you try dividing by zero.
This could be a handy way of teaching preschool children mathematics.

I've noticed that kobolds tend to come in groups of three. I wouldn't neccesarily say its a team of three since I often have three kobold sightings very quickly and near each other but no evidence that they are acting as a team or a squad.

Enemy squads have "leaders" too, they use the same mechanics as dwarves squads.

I know, its just harder to tell if the kobolds are working as a team or not or they just spawned at the same time in the same place.

Well, they are working as a team. Because they do not randomly spawn alone unless it's thieves.

Apparently, retiring in a town gets rid of those rescued children when you resume adventuring.

...

Cool.
What? Damn it. I asked that specific question a few weeks ago and was told otherwise. I went to all the trouble of finding out where the child's parents lived, went to the fortress, and couldn't figure out how to get rid of her. Eventually her throat got torn out by a harpy. :(

Why does my adventurer keep crying?
Greiger's is actually correct...  sadly enough.  The emotional circumstance processor is still turned on, with a randomly rolled up personality, but they can't express themselves or take control...  they can only cry.

A while ago I was fighting a pack of wolves when I made one's guts shoot out their wound. I started to run away and he chased me. Then I noticed his guts trailing behind him! That was pretty cool.

Hmm? I'll try and recreate it and take a screenshot.
EDIT: Got it! It happens when the entrails shoot out the wound. Is that different from guts? Here's the screenshots.
I tried to get a picture of him moving and the guts trailing after him, but he got knocked out by from the blow and bled to death soon after.
