Well, the reason it seems like a bug (that you can fill your bag with water) is that backpacks aren't typically waterproof and waterskins are provided as a separate item.  But it's still interesting to see that you dump everything out.

you can fill your quivers as well.

And if a miner is encased in ice they SO can be mined out... except for the fact that they took their pick with them and it is also enased in the same damned ice.

If a dwarf (or anything for that matter) is in deep water when it freezes, it dies.

You can't mine him out.

TOTALLY not true. My experiments punching through aquifers in a glacier fort most certainly proved otherwise. 1 tantrum spiral later and I finally got picks and mined out the 3 "encased" miners.

Sure they were dead, but their stuff and bones were there - including their picks.

I mined out the bones and equipment of a dwarf who got encased in water from a river once as well.  It's very much possible.

I'm talking about the bronze colossus. It's supposed to be made entirely of bronze.
But really he's just a softie inside. They all are really. When megabeasts come to your fort you never welcome them inside and give them a hug, do you. You heartless bastards...

I meant that it's not possible to mine out the miner while he's still alive. A bit of a miscommunication there.

Yeah, well.... why would we have a miner in our backpacks?

A minor, yeah, but I don't think safety is a concern, when we are worried about the battle axes, vomitpatties, and fluffy wambler circus.

Elves and mules can pass right through iron bars.....

I used iron bars in place of grates for my elf drowning device as I thought it looked cooler or something, but when I actually tested it, it didn't quite work the way I wanted it to and the elves got away.....

It is in fact a bug, and I'm pretty sure it happens with grates too.

Yea, I've heard of that bug. Just have to try again the next year and if THAT still happens, I'll just install some floodgates.

It's possible the reason why they pass through is because the bars were two tiles from the depot.

I just found out that human towns will have different temples depending on what spheres their gods are associated with.

Water god: normal pond in temple.
Fire god: magma pond.
Mountian god: Really high walls in the temple!

Eh, just the normal, probably.  Although I don't think it's possible for the humans to select one of those gods.  I thought that only goblins picked those.

Incest isn't a sphere, which means there can't be a god of it (as far as I know).  It's just a word the game knows.
