wait.. traders will come in through underground roads? SWEET

will invaders come in through them too?

The traders came through the underground road, but the invaders appeared at random edges like usual.  I think it just works the same way as a constructed elevated road.

Personally, I wish we were allowed to mine out the edges of the map.  So what if it would allow people to collapse the entire region, that's just more fun to be had!

So did your road LEAD to a goblin civ? or did it lead to another captured goblin town?
Because this may make a difference in who you get visiting you on the road.

Probably not, though it should.

There are many issues with this statement.

Probably the same way they encrust stone on stuff, but you normally only see this kind of stuff with artifacts.

If you are carrying sand in your hands and get hit by an ocean wave, the sand disappears/washes away!  :D
Probably works with many other water things too.

You can't drink salt water, but you can drink the water covering it produces.

Eventually you won't be able to though.  Maybe even in the next version, depending...

# Req581, CONTAMINANTS WITH CONTAMINANTS, (Future): It needs to track whether you are covered with salt/filthy water for example.

Wait, so dwarves can lick themselves to quench their thirst?

That's disturbing.

Creatures, when punted away in combat can land in trees.

I now have a mule loaded with 6 bins full of cloth rotting one z level up in a palm tree after orc seigers happened across elf traders at my fortress.

How's THAT for a mental image?

What's more interesting is whether that cadaver will stay there forever, being sort of glitched, or if can be taken down by getting rid of the tree.

If it's the former case, then I guess one could build a ramp a stairs next to the tree to get that thing down.

Bah a shame.  It fell to the ground as logic would dictate, now I have more cloth bins to dump in the unwanted/accidental imports trash compactor.

As a side note you can stand on trees as an adventurer too, you just need to be able to get to a position where you can alt move onto it.  When cliffs were still around I could use it in hilly areas to drop down small cliffsides without taking much damage.  I would take a short drop into a tree then the drop from the treetop to the ground.

It might have been logical, but you have to admit that it was something that positively had to be tested. The logical outcome isn't always the obvious one in DF.
