I think that it might be a nice little perk if, in the artifacts page, it would say which dwarf created the artifact, and possibly what skill they gained experience in. It would probably be comparatively easy to implement, as well.

I also think that it should be possible to use a workshop's profile to turn off work orders from the job manager. In other words, when you use the manager to make steel greaves or something, you can set one workshop to completely ignore this order and continue on with its construction.

The Unforgotten Beast, Shoruke, has come! A pale-skinned human. It has heterochromatic eyes and moves in an unpredictable manner. Beware its rapier wit!

Simple ideas are often the best.  I like this!

MyLittlePonyBuiltMyHotRod, this is your first warning. I would like to direct you to read our forum's FAQ and posting guidelines before posting again. Specifically we don't use swear words here, and your picture of Stalin riding a Year3 Limited Edition Starflower inside a German concentration camp was both upsetting and historically inaccurate.

And I could finally use work orders for glass objects and have them all go to my magma furnaces instead of the normal one which only collects sand!  Agreed!

I love the second part. I usually have one forge busy training my Weapon Smith or is studding the furniture for the King, that always gets overridden by the manager ordered armor I am cranking out.
