Of course the Expedition leader is not quite mayor yet and doesn't need an office, but I assigned him one and expected him to meet the liaison there.  But he insists on holding the meeting by the well where everyone else is partying.  I was under the impression that meetings with dwarves would be held in their office if they own one, if not in the bedroom at least.

NOTE: In this case the Expedition leader is neither the manager, the broker, nor the bookkeeper.

EDIT: This "bug" is no big deal as the Expedition Leader doesn't get an unhappy thought from meeting in public, even if he owns an office.

IIRC the Dwarf liaison meets up with your outpost manager and not leader.

No, the Dwarf liaison meets with leader/mayor.  The human Guildmaster meets with Broker, and Diplomats meets with Baron/Count/Duke.  If the liason does meets with the manager, then can you explain why the expedition leader is the one thats conducting the meeting?

Anyhway... Is the office assigned to him? Did you put adamantine socks in it?

I guess I shouldn't have complained.  He does have an office but he hasn't complained about meeting in a public place.  When I posted this I originally thought meeting outside an office gave a negative thought, but since the EL doesn't need an office, there's no negative thought.

But still I think merely having an office should give him a positive thought, or he should at least use it because he's got one.

I assume your leader was thirsty and therefore went to the well, the liaison followed him ad now the leader is just too lazy to walk back to his own office and instead holds the meeting at the wells

No we have plenty of alcohol, the well is just a meeting place.  Again I say its because the Expedition leader always uses public places no matter if he has an office or not.  But at least not using the office doesn't give him an unhappy thought as I had previously assumed.

I agree it would be nice, indeed.  I'd also be happy if the liaison went to the office rather than running all over creation playing follow-the-leader.
