[40c] Different worlds with the same seeds
« on: September 02, 2008, 12:41:31 am »

Basically: changing the raws and regenerating a world with all the same seeds yielded a (slightly) different world.

I say slightly because all of the features were the same (cliffs, magma, rivers, and HFS were all in exactly the same places, with exactly the same shapes), but the stones/ore veins/gem clusters were not.

For example, a layer that was solid chalk in the first world might have a large deposit of microcline in the middle of it in the second world.

Both generations were immediately after starting DF, so the only thing that I can think of that was different is the reaction_standard files I used.
