This game of Multiworld Madness has grown too large for me to handle. What would you have me do?

Muster up remaining strength and complete the current chapter. Bring the game to a logical close, then reboot it.

Same as 1, but a whole new game will be started instead, still Multiworld, but no longer Madness.

Get just this last turn done and reboot the game. No point wasting energy if updating takes so long.

I might put up some thoughts - "Shrapnel Self" defines the target as an "object". Since air is not an object by itself, it will take a high roll to succeed. A 6, if it were possible, would target the entire atmosphere. Earth Shattering Kaboom, anyone?

build a temple for me after i die. it must have 2 huge tesla coils.
and many smaller ones, with lots of electricity flying around. and an engraved room with everything i did, since that first door smashing in the tavern, to when i got my lightning powers, elfzilla, zombies and everything.

also, a fake heroic death. i don't want future people seeing me blowing myself up in that way.

Why not explode a massive (1kmē or larger) layer one atom thick of the land?

If done right, all the shrapnel will dissipate, but the friction of it in the air will produce massive heat, causing rapid expansion and thus a cushion of air.

Somehow I don't think that will work out to well being he has to touch the object meaning he'd be right at the epicenter of the immediate explosion.

Not to mention "massive heat". I can partly agree that there's a higher chance of surviving a sun-surface temperature hellfire than an impact at near-sonic speed, but being burned to a crisp is slightly less pleasant than just blanking out.

And speaking of that. Our sick cat died today. :'( We never found out what it was, one minute he seemed to be recovering, the next minute there was already nothing we could do. <sniff>
But it's alright. He's lived with us for 8 happy years, brought us much joy and received much in return. We'll be missing him. :'(

Well, how much would that arm and gun weigh?

Standard newton says that if you throw it hard enough, you can stop your fall before you hit the ground.

Alternatively, you could use IT as a lightning rod, if a storm is nearby.

Do the enemies have a nearby base? Do they have electrical weaponry? Can their hypothetical projectiles be absorbed for a rapid recharge?


I can only give crazy theories, but just maybe one of them is crazy enough to work?

qwertyuiopas gave me a though, but it's a shame you can't cause a Volcanic eruption in your vicinity before impact; after all their ash clouds have been know to generate lightning.

plan 1. throwing something that hard would be as if his arm had hit the ground at a speed even greater than however fast he's going, it's not hitting the ground that hurts, it's the deceleration it causes. If you could survive that, then just holding your arm in front of yourself would save you anyway.

plan 2. lighting rods don't work unless they are grounded. though andrea might count as "ground" for lightning, if that's true the a lightning rod is unnecessary, because andrea essentially IS a lighting rod.

plan 3. I doubt they could hit something moving at terminal velocity even if they were willing to help.

i can't really think of anything... unless. if your approach is really shallow and since the ground is really flat, maybe you could kinda use the gun as a landing skid rather than bieng grated by the ground... of course if there is any appreciable amount of down compared to across you're screwed...
so what exactly is the trajectory, it could be important.

Since it's gravity that's the only force causing him to accelerate downwards, and he really didn't have any appreciable horizontal velocity when he got up there (the blast blew him pretty straight up, I think, otherwise he'd be orbiting the planet), I'm going to posit that he's falling pretty much so straight towards the ground.

So I need to get about 3 fives to save him.  One to find him.  2 getting my powers to work where he is.  And 3 to get a TK bubble up.  More if Sean is feeling particularly cruel to andrea.

but sean described him as bieng miles away so really from the ambiguous description his trajectory could be anything
