Same as 1, but a whole new game will be started instead, still Multiworld, but no longer Madness.

Two hours past the planned update time, but I bring it to you!

------------
Turn 125
------------
Quote from: andrea
"i go taking MY gauss gun.
and somehow place it on my mechanical arm.

and i try to understand how that staff works!"
|   A familiar feeling engulfs you as you lightning-form and speed back towards the truck. | The troopers are shocked by the outburst of electricity, and Gantolandon receives several moderate burns from it when your lightnings arc over to him. | You stop right next to Rooster, and grab your gun from his hands. The myomer muscles in your left arm grant you improved strength, and you are able to wield the weapon without significant problems. The electricity that surrounds you arcs over to the gauss rifle's wiring and its control panel lights up again.| Having thus obtained your heavy firepower, you switch your attention to your artifact staff. Your past efforts with bashing the thing into something did not produce results, so you decide to do something different. You firmly grip the haft of the staff, thrust it forward (in no particular direction), and shout something akin to "WHAAM!". A bright spark of electricity flies forth from the head of the staff, and explodes in a harmless sparkling spray several meters in front of you. You rejoice at this development, useless though it is, and spend some time producing sparkling fireworks with the staff.
Quote from: Jay Kayell
I give my steel sheet to the dwarf. Then I try to find a way to activate night vision on my headband without using my mind.
|   The dwarf eagerly accepts your gift, and immediately goes off to do something with it, while you try to activate some form of night vision. No amount of strange hand gestures around your headband seems to convince it to provide you with anything of the kind though.
Quote from: Rooster
I look for a more decent and more suitable weapon for me
|   Having given up the gauss rifle, you set off in search of something more suitable for you. Unfortunately, there're no items of weaponry laying around. You'll have to ask someone for something you could use.
Quote from: Frelock
Sit down, close my eyes, and meditate, listening to the streams of thought flowing through my mind.
|   You sit down and let the ambient telepathic noise lull you into a trance. You listen to it, picking out strands of conversations and bits of images. Suddenly you notice something strange. A particular thought passed through your mind, and it disturbed you greatly. Whoever it was, he was inside of your receiving range and was thinking, calmly and in great detail, about sudden fiery death of everyone assembled near the crashed fighter. You try to wake yourself, but your trance is too deep! For many long minutes, you fruitlessly attempt to force yourself out of your dreaming so that you can warn everyone of the impending danger.
Quote from: Gantolandon
I make a maintenance shutdown and try to make the liver to produce blood cells faster.
|   You close your eyes and fall into a deep trance, attempting to control your regeneration and restore your blood levels. Miraculously, it works (though it could be due to the sped-up regeneration still working), and you slowly regain the blood that you lost. You're still stuck in the trance though, and now see yourself amidst a lush jungle. It's wet here.
Quote from: chaoticag
I pick up the Ashcraver, then hop aboard the truck.
|   The giant sword is firmly stuck in the ground, and it takes a lot of effort to get it out and lift it. You heft it in your hands. It's sure heavy, and it'll bog you down greatly, but you just can't bring yourself to drop it now that you've picked it up, and you lug it towards the truck. Gracefully jumping on top of it, you realise there's nothing to sit on, so you drag the sword onto the frame and sit on its broad blade.
Quote from: Neo1096
I practice dual-wielding my pistols, following the others if they move.
|   You take out your second pistol. | Judging by the size of the gun's three barrels, and the massive loading chamber, you guess that the gun is designed to fire something powerful and explosive. A test shot proves your guess - the pistol unleashes a barrage of tiny projectiles that explode on contact and tear the rock you've been targetting into loose shreds. Examining the weapon further, you find out other things about it - its magazine holds a grand total of three rounds, and it posesses a laser sight. Rummaging through the several pockets of the backpack, you find three more magazines for the beast. Still, you consider it unwise to waste such powerful ammo and practice with your other gun instead, effortlessly shooting up a few more rocks.
Quote from: Kashyyk
I gently scoop gantolandon up and walk gently over to the rest of the group.
|   You stomp towards Gantolandon, reach down with your mech's left hand, and carefully scoop up… a trooper, who protests loudly and threatens to do something awful to your blood relatives. You let him go, apologize, pick up Gantolandon (making double sure it's really him), and start walking towards your truck.
Quote from: Zako
I practice the creation and manipulation of sonic waves (sound waves are formed by ripples in the air, which I cantrol) in a minor form.
|   You try to create vibrations in the air with your powers, but all your effort doesn't add up into anything you are able to hear. You cannot even tell if you produce any sound. You'll need more mental training, and even more control over air to produce a high enough frequency of sound.
Quote from: korora
Given that I'll be in travel mode potentially long enough to finish out the semester and recover my free time level, and also that I left my sword behind  (:-[), let me amend my itinerary to stop a couple hours away from the Jags' camp, where I hope to meet up with the others and retrieve the Ashcraver.
|   You continue your trek towards your goal. The valley becomes narrower and more shallow here, but it's still quite wide and big. You begin to suspect it's not really a valley…
Quote from: LASD
The truck's still quite beat-up, so my action is getting "Basic Mechanics" by fixing the truck.
|   You examine the truck again, looking for things you might fix. Unfortunately, the damage on the truck is largely present in two categories - superficial, and FUBAR. You don't want to waste your time on the former, and don't have the resources to fix the latter, so you contemplate your inability to be useful and kick the truck's left rear wheel in frustration. |.Two particularly flimsy bolts on the wheel snap off, and the whole thing crashes down onto its suspension, almost turning over again. You catch the wheel before it can roll off, and quickly hide in the truck's cabin before anyone sees you.
Quote from: Boksi
I examine my two handguns, and then try to get some idea of what we're after. Maybe the headband will tell.
|   You look into your backpack and procure the two handguns. | It looks like you got a bad deal back at the camp. One of the guns is a fairly useless stun shocker that can pump the victim with a few kilovolts of low-power current, but can be used only in melee range. The other is a mean-looking long-barreled device that probably shoots large amounts of thin needle-like projectiles. Except the gun is not loaded, and you couldn't find any clips in the backpack. You put both guns back and focus on your headband, trying to obtain some information about your goal here. You can't sense anything though.

NPC Actions:
Allied:
Quote from: Kosak Sidasin Lokumzuden
The dwarf rejoices at the sheet of fine metal, and tries to construct something out of it.
|   His skills with metalworking are unmatched, and he is able to craft the mangled sheet into | a very nice plate cuirass. He made it human-sized, respecting the needs of his company, and proudly presented you with it. He's now slightly better at crafting.
Quote from: Giant Bats
The bats stay where they are and do nothing.

Neutral:
Quote from: Occupants of the camp
The troopers at the crater seem to be hauling someone or something out of somewhere. There's no noticeable movement at the camp.
|   You can see the troopers happily raising their hands, indicating that they succeeded at whatever they were doing.
Enemy:
None at the moment
------------
Background: [4+2]   There's nothing interesting to be seen from where you are. Chaoticag's identify-o-vision tells him Neo now has a magnesium flechette launcher, while the unlucky Boksi is the proud owner of a tazer and an ammoless needlegun.

Locations:
Planet Wayside V:   The planet seems to be barren as a whole. The sky is green here, and the air is cold. Or maybe it's just autumn here.
Large Valley:   A rather dull and barren, though very large, rocky valley covered by reddish clay soil with patches of some unknown weeds or moss. Filled with broken rock and debris. Sloping mountains or plateaus many kilometers tall seem to surround it.
Sub-area 1: The place you initially appeared at.
Sub-area 2: Where your truck was destroyed by an aerospace fighter (and later rebuilt). Everyone is here, except Gantolandon.
Sub-area 3: Somewhere far north of Area 2 - the fighter crashlanded there. And subsequently exploded, leaving a large crater and killing the crew of the two scout buggies sent by Fusiliers. Gantolandon is here, with a small convoy of trucks, mechs, and infantry.
Fusiliers' main camp:   A small military camp set up amidst the hills in the large valley. Mechs patrol its perimeter. All of you are at a spot some distace away from it.
"Overlord"-class Dropship "Bullrun": A big egglike spaceship designed to go to and from a planet's surface. Armed with several turrets and protected by thick armor. It's been attacked on its descent and is undergoing repairs.

I take the plate cuirass and put it on under my jacket, thanking the dwarf while doing it. I then try to activate night vision on my headband by force of thought. If I fail I bring the dwarf with me to the truck.

second: I drop off gantolandon if he is awake of if he wants me to, and hopefully we head over to the jags base.

too much weight... -1 to dodge. :(

(i don't really mind about the-1 on movement... bonuses gave me some problems about collateral damage)

boksi, interesting weapon you found. but we already have one in the group :P (/me points toward himself) maybe i could find a way to use it...

so... i charge my staff a bit more, then i repair the truck that LASD damaged.

I mount the tazer on my halberd, because electricity resistance is much rarer than fire or cold resistance!

Preferably, it would activate when I hit somebody with my halberd. Inoptimally, it should be possible to turn on and off. At worst, it's either on constantly, plain doesn't work or even shocks the wielder instead.

Also, I'd like some information on that needlegun, especially it's ammo. How does the thing work? Is it a railgun, or does it use chemical reactions? Chaoticag, could you help me?

I try to wake up and take the cuirass from a dwarf. It's less badass than dwarf bone armor, but perhaps somewhat better.

Why that heck would I need to wake up from the trance?  I'm a telepath!

I warn everyone near me about the oncoming danger via TP.  Then, fire up a TK field about me, all while in a trance (they're mental actions, after all).  Optimally, I should learn how to become super-powerful whilst in a trance.

Bonus points for having a large explosion flow around the bearded meditating man, but not entering his bubble of protection.

Unfortunately, you can't move yourself while in a trance, it basically disconnects you from the physical body. So, while you can use telepathy, you cannot use telekinesis to fly - you don't know where's up and where's down in the real world, let alone where anything else is.
