Same as 1, but a whole new game will be started instead, still Multiworld, but no longer Madness.

Get just this last turn done and reboot the game. No point wasting energy if updating takes so long.

Stop posting "Rolls!" people, it doesn't add anything to the thread except volume, and we're already the biggest one. You could converse and make plans on your next actions...

Turn 106
------------
Quote from: Neo1096
I get out of the hover and say :"We were transported here by a mysterious cube. We would like to understand what is going on but you seem hostile. My friends armor - the guy with the jets - is prone to malfunctions. You just nearly disintegrated him! He wasn't even firing any weapons. Regardless i think Korora needs repairs and we would just like to understand where we are. We may be able to help you with any problems you seem to be having once we get our bearings. I am a Mii'ari, Korora is a sentient mech burning over there, Rooster there is a centaur.. thing, and the dwarf is a... well, dwarf. The rest of us are human with various abilities and modifications. Never touch Chaoticag (in the clay over there) with your bare hands, for your humanity's sake. Jay will probably need repairs for his armor and I will also state that we mean no harm. We are not employed, having only been here for a few minutes. We can help treat the wounded and generally do useful things." Then I get onto the hovercraft and practice more jumping.
|   You carefully exit the hovercraft (the troopers don't look very friendly) and begin your elaborate explanation. It takes some effort to even address a massive robot looming over you, but you manage to. You introduce everyone present and look patiently at the head mech. | The 'mech raises its arm with big guns and points it at you. After a while, Stirling replies. "Fine. Don't expect me to believe all that, but at least you don't seem to pose a threat. We don't kill innocents, unlike the Clans, so we won't harm you either. But we will not let you go. You will now remain with my regiment, under guard. Get everyone into the hovercraft and depart for the camp." After she's done talking, you don't feel like doing any jumping, not with such big guns pointed at you. You return to the hovercraft.
Quote from: korora
I'll try to look as friendly as possible as we head into camp.
|   You warily approach the hovercraft (you're barely half as tall as the smallest 'mech present) and stand near it, waiting for any signal to go. | The fire crawls through your internal components and finally reaches its goal - the truck's fuel tank! | Thankfully it doesn't explode, but now your entire body is covered in the burning contents of the tank. You're now very hot, your vision blurs and your motions are inaccurate. The fire burns very merrily now. (-2,-1 against damage)
Quote from: Frelock
Hoping that neo's explanation was accepted by them, I'll heal the dwarf, neo, boski, and if I can ease zako's pain at all, that would be nice too.  Triage, again, in that order.
|   You close your eyes and focus on the four, all at once. This time the process is easy enough and you manage to channel your healing powers onto them all. The dwarf's injuries are quickly mended, as are Neo's bruises and Boksi's burns. Zako is tough to see, you can't make out his shape with when you reach out to him with your healing, but you do what you can. Suddenly you feel the power within you rising dangerously, and then it surges out in a colossal burst! | You manage to redirect the force into pure kinetic energy and emit a high-power pulse | that impacts Rooster and hurls him away into the distance. He's not hurt by the sudden acceleration, but the (eventual) sudden deceleration might be bad.
Quote from: Jay Kayell
I explore the inner reaches of my mind to try to find any hidden powers I may have.
|   You try to concentrate, but you're too distracted by the recent happenings. You emerge from your brief trance without finding anything useful.
Quote from: Zako
I wake up and explore my body to see what happened.
|   You make an effort and crawl through the syrupy swirling mass of darkness separating you from the light of the waking world. When you open your eyes, the first thing they are drawn to is your body. | Hm. Well, "it might have been worse" might be an overstatement here. Your body as you came to know and love it doesn't exist any more. Your legs are gone, replaced by a massive muscular tail clad in plates of heavy black chitin armor. This stuff goes up to your waist, where it transitions into your upper body, now significantly more warped. The fur has disappeared, giving way to smooth leathery skin of a purple color. Your arms managed to prevail in the mutation orgy that took place here, but they now end with three-fingered clawed hands. In addition, all around the arms there is a seething mass of thin tentacle-ish protrusions, about two feet long. The spikes growing out of your elbows and spine have hardened and grown out, causing some trouble with movement. Your head, now completely bald, is devoid of all of its previous features save for the eyes, the mouth, and an array of short bony protrusions on your forehead. In addition, you feel that your bloodflow now changes significantly. In this cold air, you feel sluggish and slow. Your vision suddenly blurs and shifts into shades of grey. You can see the shapes of people as white on the black ground. The 'mechs stand tall, visible as grey with several bright white spots. You figure out that you now see through heat vision. Your new body doesn't cause you too much trouble, it could probably be worse. | As if on cue, it suddenly becomes worse. The leather skin thickens, improving your defence but restricting movement. The tentacle-like growth withers and shrinks, reducing itself to patches of long hair around your shoulders.
Quote from: andrea
i try to get informations about this world.
|   You talk to the troopers as they lead you from the dropship to the rest of the camp set up amidst some heavy vehicles. You learn that this planet is Wayside V, on the edge of Deep Periphery. The soldiers and mechs you see here mostly belong to Stirling's Fusiliers, a regiment of the Northwind Highlanders. The troopers don't know much, but feel strangely eager to share what they know with you. They went here expecting to fight and defeat a small force belonging to Clan Smoke Jaguar, so that the Draconis Combine (which some of the 'mechs here belong to, including the one you saw earlier) can claim this planet as their own. Unfortunately, something went horribly wrong and they're now stuck here - with a full frontline galaxy, over 170 omnimechs to fight, plus various armored infantry and aerospace fighters, all Clan Elites. Their own force is at most half of that in number, and the Clan mechs are more powerful as well. They can't leave too, partly because of the contract, partly because they're already down to two working dropships (of four) thanks to the fighters, but mostly because there's a goddamn Essex class destroyer in orbit, that can blow them to smithereens the moment they try to run. You also hear a lot of personal heartfelt opinions about the Clans, the Jaguars, their destroyer, the Draconis Combine, and the contract, but I need not replicate them here. You set on to munch on this new pile of information as you stride towards what looks to be a barracks complex.
Quote from: Rooster
I try to grow some natural armor
|   You focus on controlling your regeneration, and order it to grow some plates of armor on your body. Suddenly you are thrown through the air and discover yourself flying quickly above the barren landscape. In shock and confusion, you accidentally issue the same mental order twice. (2 regenerations this turn) | Tiny strips of hard tissue begin forming on your skin to complement the existing ones, but they are really too tiny to protect you. You feel disappointed. As the ground quickly approaches, the tiny strips suddenly burst into full-blown plates of bone mass, covering your entire body and making you look like a massive walking suit of centaur armor. It consists of numerous intersecting plates and allows you to be flexible enough to move normally. It sure helps you, because the time has come to meet the rocky surface from whence you once got launched. | You're travelling way too fast to land in any kind of graceful way. You tumble along the rocks like a ragdoll, barely managing to group yourself and avoid massive fractures. You couldn't avoid several high-speed whacks of your head against the ground though, and you're knocked unconscious, which allows your relaxed body to endure the impact into a big outcropping of basalt somewhere along your path. You're mildly battered and bruised, but your full bone plating preserves your skin and internals.
Quote from: Kashyyk
I take control over my absorb ability, and stop it.
|   You focus as hard as you can while walking, and try to force your absorption power to turn off. Your attempts to reach the locked-out portion of your brain have little success at first, but one final concentrated effort bears fruit - you feel you’re the absorption cease. However, you still feel strange. Looking at yourself, you notice a tiny layer of iron dust on you. Without thinking of anything, you blow the dust off yourself - and realise that more dust forms instantly. Suddenly you understand what is happening - your absorption power became reversed, and will now just peel off tiny bits of materials from around you, without adding anything to your body - and with how fuzzy the TK powers are, it continuously shaves off slight amounts of your own body. On the positive side, you could probably amplify it to bore through any hard armor, but you're really unsettled by the fact that something is slowly eating away at your body.
Quote from: LASD
I calibrate my Selective Translator to include japanese (and persuade the lance pilots to lower their weapons.)
|   You briefly recall the Japanese language for some reason, and quickly attune your translator to it. Nevertheless, the pilots here speak proper english, so you decide not to show your linguistic prowess yet. Instead you wait for Neo to finish his speech, and address Stirling again. You put all the power you are able to muster into your words, pushing, driving the point home - you're not here to cause them trouble. Your speech is so passionate and involving that none of the people present remain unmoved. (+2 reaction) | Stirling's warrior mech lowers its weapons, her lancemates follow suit. There is a long moment of silence, only the faint wind and Zako's howls of pain disturb the air. Finally she speaks, her voice is firm and proud but noticeably softer. "Hm. All right then, let it be this way. You may have gained a little bit of trust from this mechwarrior, but there's no way I'll just let you go. You're a strange group, and this is a dangerous place. This hovercraft will bring you to our camp, where you can rest if you want, but I will need answers - anything you know, you will tell me. I still don't believe some of the things I see.. (the Grand Titan ever so slightly turns its head towards Korora) ..but I'll give you the benefit of doubt. I'll leave one of my lance to escort you, just in case." She and two of her lancemates turn around and head off.
Quote from: chaoticag
I use my tk abilities to elevate myself from the clay.
|   You concentrate your TK powers around you, hoping that you can shift the clay enough for you to climb out. You manage to have an actual effect, but the disturbed clay begins to work like real quicksand, causing you to sink quickly! You flail around helplessly, trying to get ahold of something. | The massive tsunami of green panels clears up a bit, you're beginning to get used to it.
Quote from: Boksi
I'll help whoever seems to be doing some constructive and non-suicidal action at the time.
|   | You run back to the group at the clay heap and help chaoticag lift himself with your own bit of TK power. It's hardly enough to pull him out, but at least you prevent him from sinking.
Quote from: Gantolandon
I again try to discover my hidden ability.
|   Sitting in the hover, you don't have much to do. To pass time, you focus your mind and try to determine the special ability that you posess. After a while, you figure it out, or at least think you figure it out. Every trace of this power you manage to uncover in your mind points to it having to do something with electronics. You concentrate on that and try to interact with the electronics of the craft. You notice that you can make some of the lights on the control panels blink in unusual ways, but only if you touch something directly attached to the piece of electronics in question with your hand. This power is pretty weak right now. Despite all your attempts, you failed to make the central holographic display show a certain four-letter word.

Environment:
Unknown planet:   The planet seems to be barren as a whole. The sky is green here, and the air is cold. Or maybe it's just autumn here.
Large Valley:   A rather dull and barren, though very large, rocky valley covered by reddish clay soil with patches of some unknown weeds or moss. Filled with broken rock and debris. Sloping mountains or plateaus many kilometers tall seem to surround it. Several trails of large footprint trails run through it and away out of sight. Rooster is somewhere in there.
Sub-area 1: The place you initially appeared at.
   Sub-area 2: Where Zako's hurricane ended.
Sub-area 3: Kashyyk stopped the van here.
Unknown camp:   A small military camp set up amidst the hills in the large valley. Mechs patrol its perimeter. A lance of 'mechs is near here, one of them is guarding Boksi, Korora, chaoticag, Gantolandon, LASD, Zako, Neo, Frelock, and the dwarf. A small hovercraft is here as well.
Main tent: A rather large tent set up in a flat area amidst the hills. Numerous communication antennae protrude from various places. Several mechs guard this as well.
Barracks area: A number of simple metal contructions that are used to house troops and treat the wounded when necessary. There are many soldiers and mechwarriors here. Kashyyk and andrea are here, escorted by a number of troopers.
Ovoid starship: A very big egg-shaped construction with turrets and thrusters. It's seen better days, by the looks of it. It's recently been attacked.
Sub-area 1: Where JK crashed after being shot down. JK is here with the remains of his armor.
------------
Background: [4+2]   Feeling like gaining some more information, chaoticag looks at the last remaining 'mech. It's a medium 50-ton Hunchback, armed with that nasty-looking Autocannon/20 on its shoulder, and a pair of Medium Lasers and a small laser to back it up. It's piloted by a mechwarrior named Sampter Berk. At the camp, andrea and Kashyyk look around and try to note any and all interesting things about it. It seems this camp was set up very recently. Some things are still being moved to and from the dropship via unarmed transports.

I'm not sure if I got all of Zako's mutations right, but oh well.

My status doesn't reflect the fact that I have been healed. For my action I will attempt to increase my ability to read body language and intonation in order to gain additional insight into people's moods.
