Alright, I have finaly got it finished. Damn parents keep oppressing me, I can't spend ten minutes in front of the laptop without being shouted at until my mother leaves for work or some other place. Mind you (or me), I should be working as well, but seeing as I am placed as the "director", so to speak, I get little work beyond the occasional "put this together", "take that apart", or "go to the stockpile and let the customer/courier take something". I feel like some kind of dwarf here!
A noble, probably.
Anyway. The turn brought little in terms of fun, except to several characters. I hope you like some of the changes I packed into the statuses this time. I hope Rooster won't take offense at the new line in his status.
------------
Turn 97 ------------
I try to repair my armor.
| You try to remember the structure of the armor, but since you were more or less unconscious while you built it you cannot remember a thing. Trial and error make for very slow progress.
Anyway, I wrap myself in my own shadow.
| The shadows formed by the pale light of the local sun are dim, but it is no handicap for your powerful ring. Under its effect, your shadow rises like a grey ghost and quietly wraps itself around you. It feels rather cold, but now you are practically invisible to anyone and anything. Probably even Kashyyk wouldn't see you.
i go to kashyyk, to the eggshell.
| You start running along the tracks. Your lightning augments and empowers you!!! It takes you less than two seconds to reach the van standing amidst the field.
| The momentum doesn't let you stop in time, you only manage to jump up in an attempt to clear the armored metal side of the van. Still, your legs contact with it and you spin wildly through the air, tumbling towards the ground!
| Thankfully, you sustained no serious damage because you braced yourself, but the braced pose made you into a very large tumbling softball, allowing you to come to a stop several hundred feet away from the van.
I climb out of the van, and examine the egg-thing, giving a bonus to our background roll.
| You're slightly distracted by andrea's bouncy entrance, but even if it weren't for that you can't tell much about the strange construction from this distance.
I try to get resistance to dizzyness
| You try to control your regenerative powers and guide them to alter your senses and make them immune to the effects of dizzyness. For a while it seems like you succeed, and your body alters itself properly. You feel your inner ears restructuring and your muscles and nerves altering themselves to receive relevant information without failure. But, as it always happens, regeneration decides to continue and the process does not stop there.
| Your nerves become over-sensitive to normal effects, and the mutations in your inner ears degrade your hearing.
| The extra black hairs that covered your body suddenly turn pale, wither, and fall off in a grey heap around you.
I practice using TK on small to medium-sized rocks, flinging them in a particular direction.
| Being, for the moment, content with your healing abilities, you decide to practice a more mundane application of telekinesis and focus on a few nearby rocks. Several minutes of arduous mental activity make you able to propel rocks off the ground with concentrated pulses of telekinesis, without actually damaging the rocks themselves. For lack of a better term, you dub this ablity "Force Fling". (Any physical object within several meters can be affected with a telekinetic pulse that propels it in any desired direction without damaging. Look in the status for details.)
I dexterously chisel a set of mechanics tools from the rocks on the ground with the end of my crowbar.
| You put all your skill, heart and soul into this work, but the basalt rocks are too damn resilient for your broken crowbar. You don't manage to craft anything useful.
Anyway, I practice flying.
| You try to utilize your newly-acquired tornado shield power to propel you through the air while protecting you. While it does work, you realize that your body is considerably more aerodynamic than would be needed to make this type of travel feasible. Perhaps some sturdy clothing could act as a windtrap for this purpose?
I try to learn something from fixing JK's armor. Mainly to fix and build with my tools, that is. Although some deep philosophical awakening like "Zen and the Art of Mech-Armor Maintenance" is not unwelcomed.
| Beneath all the funky yellow plating, JK's armor is a horrifying mess of metal sheets and rungs interwoven with strands of muscle tissue and some other stuff you can't recognize. You're not sure whether repairing this will require skills in engineering or necromancy. In any case, even just repairing the metal and mechanical elements of the armor will take quite a while with such primitive tools. You don't make much progress, but learn that whoever posessed JK when he made the armor, was a deranged psychopath artificier. Most probably some dwarf.
I feel for the omisensor on off switch.
| With your eyes closed, you try to concentrate on this new power and if not control it, at least turn it off. Unfortunately, despite your best thinking efforts, the already annoying green panels just don't want to go away.
(RTTAI:{5}) I try to repair myself.
| There's little you can do to repair yourself physically in this form. It doesn't seem like any magical fixing mechanism was created within you. Well, bummer.
(RTTAI:{2}) I try to find my unknown ability.
| In trying to discover your ability, you lull yourself into a deep sleep. Alas, no ability was to be found with that method. At least you'll get some rest now.

Artifacts: "A massive, massive, MASSIVE sword. It is three meters long, 1'3'' (~40cm) wide, and dazzingly bright. Its fine steel has been polished to reflect light like a mirror. Its one edge is curved, jagged at the hilt, the other is straight and so sharp it could probably slice adamantine blocks like salami. Down the center of the sword, which is at least 2'' thick, runs a hollow slit 3'' wide, in which yeat another, smaller and straighter sword is concealed. The entire surface of both swords, except of course the sharp cutting edges, is finely engraved with uncountable images, among which the launching of the Challenger, world war II, a nuclear explosion, a trainwreck, and a rotary excavator. The hilt itself (being at the same time the hilt of the smaller sword) is decorated with gold and emeralds you can only assume you've taken from someone, arranged in beautiful patterns, and the handle is woven with three lines - one is a scaly snake with two small rubies in the eyes, and two seem awfully like DNA strands. You get a feeling you could decipher the human genome if you looked closely enough. The guard of the hilt is exquisitely detailed as well, but right down the senter of it, spanning the breadth of the sword, is a solid rectangular golden plate, with the single word: ""ASHCRAVER"" deeply embossed onto it. The entire thing is so immeasurably brilliant, you almost don't want to touch it fearing it'll stick to your hand and corrupt you like some magic ring. Overcoming this fear, you pick it up. Despite its size, it is relatively lightweight, relatively, of course, to anything else so large and made of steel. (+2 to damage, +1 to attack, -1 agility)
The second form is a smaller (comparatively) blade, that together with the folding hilt guard looks like an overgrown sai. It's also exquisitely detailed, but lighter. (+1 to damage).
The Ashcraver seems to accumulate the energy released by the deaths it causes. The process is admittedly rather slow, but has good uses."
"The ring consists of a toroidal adamantine core surrounded by a shell of tempered steel with thin bands of gold along the rims of the ring. Set into an adamantine frame on its top is a Star Sapphire imbued with the dark soul of a Greater Demon, under absolute control of the wearer. The steel surface of the ring is covered by three hundred tiny tiles of granite, engraved with images of various creatures, all being dead.
The wearer of the ring may call onto the soul of the demon, which can manipulate darkness and fire - anything from direct projection to creating sentient forms to giving protection against.
The wearer can also give an order to summon a creature mad with rage (any creature from the DF world you have seen), which will use up one or several of the stone tiles, depending on the power of the creature. The tiles may be restored, but only through personally killing sentient creatures with bare hands and absorbing their essence with the ring, which also adds that creature to the ""summonable creatures"" list.
The price to pay for all this power is a constant aura of darkness that any living being will feel (and will react accordingly), and the wearer may, under critical stress, give in and become controlled by the trapped demon soul.
(No passive bonuses. In a single turn, you can either perform an act of darkness/fire manipulation (including creating a prolonged effect), or summon a creature/creatures, but not both. The magnitude and potential of both depend on your skill - the ring grants ""basic level"" only. You can only absorb the essence of a creature you killed with your own bare hands, and only if it died last turn, at most.)
Currently applied effects: (-1 to relevant ability for every active effect)
Darkfire halberd - haft of materialized darkness.
Shadow Warp - Boksi's shadow invisibility."

Environment:
Unknown planet: The planet seems to be barren as a whole. The sky is green here, and the air is cold. Or maybe it's just autumn here.
Large Valley: A rather dull and barren, though very large, rocky valley covered by reddish clay soil with patches of some unknown weeds or moss. Filled with broken rock and debris. Sloping mountains or plateaus many kilometers tall seem to surround it. A trail of large Y-shaped footprints runs through it and away out of sight.
------------
Background: [4] Movement continues around the structure in the distance. Seems like some large bipedal creatures patrolling a giant egg, but they can just as well be mechanical, you can't tell.
Btw, Rooster's pile'o'fur is up for grabs now. Didn't know where to mention it, so let it be here.
