YAAAAaaaah.... Hm. How tired must you be to drop sleeping between typing two phrases?
I was going through statuses, and after Kashyyk's decided to "rest my eyes against the pillow", which my "workplace" setup allows. Fast forward to six hours later. Wow. I don't remember doing anything that would warrant such drop-outs.

Alright then, I find the key on the roof!
| You try to locate the key on the roof of the skyscraper, but you can barely see the skyscraper from this height. You're slowing down, and completely stop a couple of kilometers above the ground. (You're back where you were some 10 turns ago.)
I try to find another car, this time a truck or something like that.
| You bring yourself to your feet, shaking from all the recent happenings. Undeterred by you last vehicle's demise, you keep looking for a new ride. Well hey, look at what's there! You're genuinely surprised to find a beige armored van belonging to the city's bank. The back doors are closed, but the driver door is open. There's blood all over the seats and on the ground too. You suspect the driver didn't leave by his own volition, or if he did he was likely not alone in here. There are no signs of damage on the thick glass apart from the blood smears. The card-key used to start this thing is still in its slot.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Ok, I will find the nearest exit and leave the building in order to get away from the fire.
| Genuinely panicking from such close contact with fire, you decide to leave by the quickest way possible - the window! Unfortunately, unlike the other window you came through, this one still had glass in it.
| In the split second before impacting the glass you notice it, and throw your crowbar through it! The glass shatters into tiny fragments, and leaves naught but tiny cuts and scratches on your skin. You get up and look around for the crowbar.

| He slowly turns around, looks at you, as if asking "W..Why?" and collapses. As you run to him, he suddenly rolls around, grabs you by your jacket, and throws you to the ground. Standing above your flabbergasted persona, he yanks the stubbed crowbar from a slit in his armor on the back, and drops it onto you. "Be. Careful. With. That. Thing. Alright?" With that, he grins and helps you get up.
Well, I guess I'll take the hint and work on my balance.

| Screaming in anger, you thrash around madly, trying to crush all those rats! They're real slick when it comes to evading hits though, and you don't manage to hurt even one.
Can I retreat to the street by foot? If I can't, I get a car of my own. If I can... Well, I'll get a car.

I rip a nearby streetlight out of the ground and use it as a club.

| Finally deciding that you've positively had enough of this door, you raise your maul and
SMASH the wall it is attached to! The conrete wall, even reinforced with steel bars, cannot hold against such a blow and shatters! When the dust settles you realise you're practically on the roof - the door was leading into a maintenance floor with lots of ventilation equipment, that is usually located on the roof. Amongst the numerous pieces of machinery you spot a small metal stair going up through a trapdoor in the ceiling.
Enough stalling with the hospital, I desend to the bottom of the skyscrapers while perfecting my flying skill.
| You cautiously alter the direction of the wind jets that hold you up, and begin flying towards the skyscrapers. By the time you reach them, you're fairly comfortable with the tricky controls of this ability, but wouldn't rely on it without some more practice nevertheless. You descend softly and land near the base of the central skyscraper.
If I have dealt with zobie dogs I try to reasearch t-virus so that in a magic world I can rise zombies just like Mr Lordi can. If I didn't I rip off zombie dog heads first!

| When you see Rooster trying to kill the dog, for some reason a wave of hatred overtakes you. It might be the virus, or something else, but you feel a burning desire to KILL ROOSTER. You charge at him with your sword in hand! He is not aware of you until it is too late and you strike with all your might! Your sword finds its target. Suddenly, your vision clears, the feeling of hate is passing. You slowly pull on your sword, afraid to look at what you might have done.. Then you hear Rooster say "Hey, nice hit, but give a shout next time you want to crash in to help. You couldda killed me!". You look at your victim, and see the zombie dog, cleaved clean into two along the length. You sign in relief.

| You walk some distance along the street, and find a large, surprisingly intact touring bus. It's large and heavy, and possibly slow, but it has an automatic transmission. Even the windows are intact, but there's a mighty mess inside. Lots of blood and torn up seats, but thankfully no bodies.

| Before he can do so, a burning body falls from the top of the stairs and lands right before him! The body might not be alive for long, but it is definetly moving, trying to get up!

Artifacts: "The ring consists of a toroidal adamantine core surrounded by a shell of tempered steel with thin bands of gold along the rims of the ring. Set into an adamantine frame on its top is a Star Sapphire imbued with the dark soul of a Greater Demon, under absolute control of the wearer. The steel surface of the ring is covered by three hundred tiny tiles of granite, engraved with images of various creatures, all being dead.
The wearer of the ring may call onto the soul of the demon, which can manipulate darkness and fire - anything from direct projection to creating sentient forms to giving protection against.
The wearer can also give an order to summon a creature mad with rage (any creature from the DF world you have seen), which will use up one or several of the stone tiles, depending on the power of the creature. The tiles may be restored, but only through personally killing sentient creatures with bare hands and absorbing their essence with the ring, which also adds that creature to the ""summonable creatures"" list.
The price to pay for all this power is a constant aura of darkness that any living being will feel (and will react accordingly), and the wearer may, under critical stress, give in and become controlled by the trapped demon soul.
(No passive bonuses. In a single turn, you can either perform an act of darkness/fire manipulation (including creating a prolonged effect), or summon a creature/creatures, but not both. The magnitude and potential of both depend on your skill - the ring grants ""basic level"" only. You can only absorb the essence of a creature you killed with your own bare hands, and only if it died last turn, at most.)

Environment:
Raccoon city, as seen from above: A large-ish city, roughly circular in layout. The downtown has numerous skyscrapers of varied height, and further towards the edges the buildings become less and less pronounced, forming an uneven mass of constructions that abruptly ends, hitting a high wall that surrounds the city for some reason. There aren't any clearly noticable locations, except maybe a few hospitals and malls that manage to stand out.
Raccoon city, dark alleyway: A usual dark and damp alleyway in the slums of some big city, between two large buildings. The city itself is probably rather big as well, you can see many tall buildings in the distance. It is night, but many street lights don't work. Something's strange about this city, but you can't quite make out what it is.
Raccoon city, sewers under dark alleyway: A rather narrow, dark, wet, and very smelly place. Well, it's a sewer.
Raccoon city, gloomy street: A street that the alleyway connects to. It's a little cleaner than the place you've been at now, but not too broad, and not much less darker. At least half the lamps on the street are not lit. A number of buildings of varied sizes go along the street. You see something that looks like a major street or highway, crossing this one some distance away.
Raccoon city, rooftop over dark alleyway: The roof of some building. There's a door to the stairs into the building.
Raccoon city, downtown center: Several tall buildings standing in a cluster. Something's happening on the roof of a central building.
Raccoon city, central skyscraper: A tall building of glass and steel. A helicopter is standing on the roof. The front lobby is a wide-ish hall with a security booth and some decorative chairs/plants. An elevator(broken) and stairs both lead to upper floors. The 30th floor is poorly lit, but looks like a lab or elaborate office floor. The last floor seems to be reserved for a large amount of ventilation and general "life support" machinery. From the outside, the bulding looked to have at least 60 floors.
Raccoon city, central highway: A four-lane highway intersecting the gloomy street, and going on towards the center of the city. Many other small streets intersect this one, and there are a lot of cars present, though most are pretty banged up or burned. There's a hospital some distance along the street.
Raccoon city hospital: A large white building that just screams "HOSPITAL" when you look at it. A number of cars, and several ambulances stand near it, in various conditions.
