american cityes, being new and being planned before being built, should have a lot of perpendicular roads.

I suspect some errors crept into this one, but I'm not sure. Be sure to check the status for details on injuries. Rooster will be surprised.

------------
Turn 73
------------
Quote from: korora
I'll go to the center of town, trying to avoid zombies where possible but otherwise aiming to remove the head or destroy the brain.
|   You remain in the world of dreams. Or maybe nightmares, with the zombies and all.
Quote from: chaoticag
   I heal the dwarf.
|   Seeing that the dwarf is a lot worse off than you are, you focus your mind on him and mend his injuries. You feel your competence in healing increase.
Quote from: Frelock
I'll land on the building where the helicopter is. I'll meet up with andrea if he makes it close to the skyscrapers.
|   Noticing a bright sparkling streak at the base of the skyscraper cluster, you descend towards it.
Quote from: andrea
i run toward the tall buildings.
|   Calling on all your lightning powers, you infuse yourself with lightning, and charge through the city like a blazing streak of light and destruction! Your immense speed carries you out of the narrow street, onto the highway, past many buildings, parks, and countless zombies, frying everything in your path to the skyscraper cluster in the center of the city! | | Korora's blade absorbs the lightning. Neo is protected by the metal staircase. The dwarf's metal armor protects him from the lightnings as well. Boksi is barely damaged through his carbon skin, and Jay Kayell receives only minor jolts through his shielded armor, but everyone else including the zombies is hit severely! Chaoticag is writhing on the ground in tremendous pain, having received moderate to heavy burns all over his body. Gantolandon is hit through the conductive roll of foil, and his left arm is covered with heavy burns and blisters. LASD is torn out of his stupor and thrown away from the police car, as it explodes in a huge fireball, knocking him unconscious and covering him in scorching flames! Zako fares little better, as in addition to the lightning burns all the ammo in his gun explodes, showering him with shrapnel! Rooster doesn't notice his body twisting in agony as several megavolts pass through it. But at least it was at least as bad for the zombies on the streets, whom the lightning blasts have left as either twitching heaps of mindless flesh, or scorched carcasses on the sidewalks. The lights in the city suddenly blaze into light, as all the power of a thundergod rushes into the power lines, instantly lighting every lightbulb in the city! It starts wearing off quickly, as the power surge was momentary, but for at least a minute the city is filled with light as bright as day. (dazzling light, -1 accuracy and dodge when outside) You manage to stop yourself in front of the skyscraper complex, and are greeted by Frelock, who descends from above.
Quote from: Jay Kayell
I obliterate the zombies attacking the dwarf
|   You jump at the zombies, intent on pummeling them into the ground, but in a sudden white-blue flash all zombies near you suddenly burst into flame and fall to the ground, thoroughly sizzled.
Quote from: Gantolandon
   I try to approach skyscrapers.
|   Even if I weren't for your pain, you wouldn't have been able to cover that much distance in such a short time. You walk out onto the bigger street. It's a fairly broad four-lane road seemingly going on towards the center of the city. Numerous other streets and roads cross it along the way, and there are a good many cars standing on it. You can't make out many landmarks from here, and the dazzling light doesn't help.
Quote from: LASD
"Anyone care to put something between me and the mirror or I'll be standing on the spot until the zombies devour my eyes.

Until that I can't do pretty much anything. But if someone non-zombie helps me, I'll take the shotgun from the backseat and possible bullets too. If a zombie wakes me, I'll run to the others."
|   Even though your body is burning, you cannot wake yourself up to run, much less stop, drop, or roll. | The scorching flames start consuming your clothing, and leave numerous light burns on your body.
Quote from: Kashyyk
Using TK I erupt out of the ground, landing among the zombies around chaoticag and the dwarf. I also attack them if possible, using the comedy action of smashing their heads together. It should work
|   You cannot quite see where the sewer is going, and you can't focus yourself enough to burrow through rock and pipelines, so you decide to climb upwards instead, which you manage to do. The rats sqeek angrily, and try to bite at your heels as you ascend, but all their effort is in vain.
Quote from: Neo1096
I'm just going to follow the others and fight if necessary, I don't want to be left behind.
|   You try to run down the fire escape. The lightning blast it absorbed must have dealt some damage though. When you ran down a flight, you grabbed at a railing to quickly turn to the next one, but the railing suddenly broke off, making you tumble over the edge towards the ground below! | You manage to jump off the wall and land into a soft heap of trashbags, preventing injuries.
Quote from: Zako
I head out to the cop car and shoot the zop in the head. But only if korora is awake. If he isn't, I drag him into the street quickly.
|   As you walk towards the car, Andrea supercharges past you and off into the distance! The gun in your hand explodes! So does the car shortly afterwards. Your hand and lower arm is badly torn up and bleeding, and there's a lot of shrapnel stuck into most of your body. At least you didn't lose an eye.
Quote from: Rooster
I try to get the immunity to zombifying
|   You manage to wake up, but you wake up to excruciating pain from the immense discharge of electricity that went throgh your body. You can't concentrate on anything but fighting the pain. | The burns and blisters from the lighting are fading quickly, but your body is still twitching, your hooves are beating against the nearby wall... wait, hooves?
Quote from: Boksi
Nobody is helping me? I guess I'll help korora then.
|   You crawl over to korora, and slowly drag him out to the narrow street.

---------
Environment:
Unknown city, as seen from above:   A large-ish city, roughly circular in layout. The downtown has numerous skyscrapers of varied height, and further towards the edges the buildings become less and less pronounced, forming an uneven mass of constructions that abruptly ends, hitting a high wall that surrounds the city for some reason. There aren't any clearly noticable locations, except maybe a few hospitals and malls that manage to stand out.
Unknown city, dark alleyway:   A usual dark and damp alleyway in the slums of some big city, between two large buildings. The city itself is probably rather big as well, you can see many tall buildings in the distance. It is night, but many street lights don't work. Something's strange about this city, but you can't quite make out what it is.
Unknown city, sewers under dark alleyway:   A rather narrow, dark, wet, and very smelly place. Well, it's a sewer.
Unknown city, gloomy street:   A street that the alleyway connects to. It's a little cleaner than the place you've been at now, but not too broad, and not much less darker. At least half the lamps on the street are not lit. A number of buildings of varied sizes go along the street. You see something that looks like a major street or highway, crossing this one some distance away.
Unknown city, rooftop over dark alleyway:   The roof of some building. There's a door to the stairs into the building. Near the center, a man in grey common clothing is lying, presumably dead, face down.
Unknown city, downtown center:   Several tall buildings standing in a cluster. Something's happening on the roof of a central building. A helicopter is flying towards it, clearly intending to land.
Unknown city, central highway:   A four-lane highway intersecting the gloomy street, and going on towards the center of the city. Many other small streets intersect this one, and there are a lot of cars present, though most are pretty banged up or burned. You can't notice any interesting buildings from where you are.
------------
Background: [5]   Most of the zombies around you are gone now, but the cop car, and several others that blew up along the way, have started some fires that may be hard to put out. The chopper's landed on the roof by now, but nothing interesting is happening so far. The area around the skyscrapers is eerily quiet, though not very dark at the moment. You can't see anything of importance yet.

Hooves. I suppose hoofs might be the grammatically correct version. :P

And Rooster, you got a 5-1, and then you were supposed to get a -2 from pain, but I let you wake up to smell the ashes. :)

Andrea, "slums" are usually situated on the edges of the city, or so I think. Anyways, the starting point is probably at least 3 miles away, in a straight line. If I guess the size of Raccoon city correctly, that should be about right.

And yea, you should really learn some kind of flight to avoid frying everything every time you move someplace. :P

a mile is 1.8 km, isn't it? then... rooster would have to travel at 65 km/h to arrive at the skyscraper in one turn...

I think 1.6, actually, seeing as I distinctly remember 60mph being equivalent to 100kph. But either way, yes, you'd need an equivalent of a motorized transport to get around the city easily. Rooster can get there in one turn if he gets a 5.

What do you call a Spiderman centaur-minotaur? He's got the horse body, horns, and the six arms... He just needs to start shooting webs.

Btw, if he obtains three longbows, he can become a Centaur machinegunner. :P
