Well, let's try this one. TURN!
There could have been some errors in this one. It's a little rushed, I need to sleep too.
------------
Turn 57 ------------
i'll have to fly down, thor style. or in any otehr way that allow me to get a chance to safely land.
| You charge your electrical field to descend in lightning form, approach the edge, and try to step off.
SKZZZT!!! Covered in smoke from partially charred clothing, you are thrown away from the edge as the TK field bounces you back with considerable force!
| You manage to land on your feet and stop before hitting anything solid. Frelock probably won't like that (further -1 to his concentration).
I attach the dead demon's wings to my armor and fly down.
| You tear off the demon's wings off his upper body, and stick them onto your back. They seem to hold. Then you run, quickly picking up speed, to launch yourself over the edge!
| Your mass and momentum carry you through the field, and you start freefalling towards the ground. The wings are quickly swept from your back by the rushing air, and you plummet straight down.
| You cannot do much to prevent yourself from hitting the ground, and do so with a very loud WHAAM!! Your body is mostly undamaged, being protected by the armor, but you're now chest-deep in the earth and unconscious from the impact.
I had a feeling it would be me left outside the bubble. I don't think there's much chance of me getting up there, so I'll find a tree or a wall to put behind me and get ready to face the onslaught. Preferably this location would be away from potential landing sites for the tavern.
| It so happens that most nearby walls have not so long ago been destroyed, and the only surviving nearby tree is currently floating with the tavern. You run around for a bit, but don't manage to find any suitable defence spot.
I heal Boksi's damaged artery with TK Healing.
| You approach Boksi and apply your healing skill to his leg. In a few seconds, the torn wound in it is sealed.
I help Frelock on concentrating
| You try to play some calm entrancing music, but you're so bad at it you decide to stop before you made things worse.
I guide the TK bubble down smack dab on top of the Army of Darkness, and crush them all beneath the remains of the tavern
| As you struggle to keep your mind focused on keeping the bubble together, a strong gust of wind starts to carry it away from the keep, and raises it to at least 80 meters above the ground.
| Despite your straining, the bubble starts to leave your grip, and with a sudden
*pop* you all enter freefall along with the tavern!! The demon keeps himself aloft.
| Everyone who has a will to live tries to hold onto something as the piece of ground under their feet attempts an expeditious retreat downwards with a staggering acceleration of 1G. Upon impacting the ground, the hemisphere of rock and soil fell apart, forming a heap of soft dirt that saved most of those who were on it. The ratmen who tried to escape into the tunnels again, as well as the already brittle armless golem did not survive the landing, but everyone else managed to keep their worthless lives to themselves. What was left of the tavern managed to survive intact, surprisingly, though there wasn't much left anyway. Boksi got away with broken legs, Frelock and Rooster received heavy concussive damage to their bodies from hitting a chunk of rock under the ground, and the dwarf broke his left arm, sprained his right foot, and got knocked unconscious. LASD fell through a patch of loose soil and came to a rather safe stop, though now in a deep pit. Andrea used his lightning form at the last moment to suspend himself in the air for a split second. Gantolandon and Kashyyk were plain lucky. Everyone is now scattered across a sizeable pile of soil, dirt, and rock not too far away from the keep.
I assume a magneto pose and use my mind to pull out the container.
| Finally realising you're not dead after the fall, you focus your thought on the relic container and try to pull it towards you. After a few moments, the now-loose soil gives up the treasure and it floats into your outstretched hands.
I command the dwarf to open the damned container. In a friendly way of course. I'll also make a casual mention to us all dying (including him), if we don't get the key or sock or whatnot soon.
| You kinda fell into a pit of soft soil. You also don't know dwarven.
I pull myself together again.
| You've completely lost your bearings after the fall and can't even find your body, much less order it to find you.
I'll take down that demon who's attacking me. I suppose I'll also put that ring to use, after all that trouble it took me to get it in the first place.
| In the split second before the ground under you started its emergency landing, you focus on your ring and send a powerful bolt of concentrated darkness and fire at the demon!
| Shocked by discovering you have such power, the demon doesn't think to move away from the bolt's path until it is too late.
| Like a titanic spear, the bolt tore through the flesh of the demon, rending his body apart!
| The limbs and the head, now held only by loosely connected strands of muscle and skin, start their descent towards the earth.

NPC Actions:
Allied: Elica is a swordself. Recently hired by Frelock. He's armed with a wooden longsword, and dressed in (somewhat pierced and rather torn) green-grey close-fitting clothing with scarce leaf-shaped decoration. He has some large scars and several bleeding, but bandaged wounds.
Elica tries to prepare against the inevitable attack of the monsters.
| Elica does some stretching and exercizing to improve his agility, and becomes slightly more agile. However, the exercizing caused his bandages to fall off, and he's bleeding again.
Enemy: First Keeper is dead. His key is taken. Second Keeper is dead. His key is taken. Third Keeper:{1} The dwarf is probably overtaken by a surge of pain, because he grunts and passes out.
Fourth Keeper is dead. His armor is taken with the key. Final Keeper is dead. His helmet's taken. Marksdwarf guard: status unknown Army of darkness:{1} The "army of darkness" became so frightened by what they thought was a display of power by korora that they have fled screaming. Not even the calls of the third demon could stop them.
Winged demon#1: Died of critical bodypart loss. Winged demon#2: Died of severe organ shortage. Winged demon#3:{5} Enraged, the demon assaults korora!
| Korora manages to block or dodge most of his attacks, but gets a few cuts and scratches on his arms and torso.
Fire demon:{2} The fiery creature turns its head towards the fallen tavern and waits.

"The ring consists of a toroidal adamantine core surrounded by a shell of tempered steel with thin bands of gold along the rims of the ring. Set into an adamantine frame on its top is a Star Sapphire imbued with the dark soul of a Greater Demon, under absolute control of the wearer. The steel surface of the ring is covered by three hundred tiny tiles of granite, engraved with images of various creatures, all being dead.
The wearer of the ring may call onto the soul of the demon, which can manipulate darkness and fire - anything from direct projection to creating sentient forms to giving protection against.
The wearer can also give an order to summon a creature mad with rage (any creature from the DF world you have seen), which will use up one or several of the stone tiles, depending on the power of the creature. The tiles may be restored, but only through personally killing sentient creatures with bare hands and absorbing their essence with the ring, which also adds that creature to the ""summonable creatures"" list.
The price to pay for all this power is a constant aura of darkness that any living being will feel (and will react accordingly), and the wearer may, under critical stress, give in and become controlled by the trapped demon soul.
(No passive bonuses. In a single turn, you can either perform an act of darkness/fire manipulation (including creating a prolonged effect), or summon a creature/creatures, but not both. The magnitude and potential of both depend on your skill - the ring grants ""basic level"" only. You can only absorb the essence of a creature you killed with your own bare hands, and only if it died last turn, at most.)"

"A massive, massive, MASSIVE sword. It is three meters long, 1'3'' (~40cm) wide, and dazzingly bright. Its fine steel has been polished to reflect light like a mirror. Its one edge is curved, jagged at the hilt, the other is straight and so sharp it could probably slice adamantine blocks like salami. Down the center of the sword, which is at least 2'' thick, runs a hollow slit 3'' wide, in which yeat another, smaller and straighter sword is concealed. The entire surface of both swords, except of course the sharp cutting edges, is finely engraved with uncountable images, among which the launching of the Challenger, world war II, a nuclear explosion, a trainwreck, and a rotary excavator. The hilt itself (being at the same time the hilt of the smaller sword) is decorated with gold and emeralds you can only assume you've taken from someone, arranged in beautiful patterns, and the handle is woven with three lines - one is a scaly snake with two small rubies in the eyes, and two seem awfully like DNA strands. You get a feeling you could decipher the human genome if you looked closely enough. The guard of the hilt is exquisitely detailed as well, but right down the senter of it, spanning the breadth of the sword, is a solid rectangular golden plate, with the single word: ""ASHCRAVER"" deeply embossed onto it. The entire thing is so immeasurably brilliant, you almost don't want to touch it fearing it'll stick to your hand and corrupt you like some magic ring. Overcoming this fear, you pick it up. Despite its size, it is relatively lightweight, relatively, of course, to anything else so large and made of steel.
The second form is a smaller (comparatively) blade, that together with the folding hilt guard looks like an overgrown sai. It's also exquisitely detailed, but lighter. (+1 to damage, -1 to agility).
The Ashcraver seems to accumulate the energy released by the deaths it causes. The process is admittedly rather slow, but has good uses."

---------
Environment:
Human/Dwarven Capital: Large city on the outskirts of hell knows where. Holds a modest amount of homes, from hovels to two-floor apartment buildings, a set of shops, a (destroyed)temple, and a (demolished)keep. Now overrun by an army of darkness.
Tavern: Was a two-floor building. Now it's a mangled ruin, thoroughly blasted apart and embedded in a large pile of rubble that was once located near the keep. The building used to contain your enter/exit point, but how to use it is completely up to you now.
Food store: Square one-floor building with long tables laden with salted and fried meats of all kinds. There's a single wide table at the far end, with a chest on top of it. There's a mighty fine hole broken through the ceiling.
Cloth store: Rolls of cloth and various cloth, silk, and leather articles of clothing are on the many shelves inside this building. There's a single wide table at the far end, with a chest on top of it. The entire building is barely standing, most of its roof is collapsed. There's a pile of elf-paste near the building, and some elven corpses.
Armor store: Everywhere in the shop various pieces of armor are thrown about, shields of different sizes litter the floor, and arrayed under the now-broken shelves and tables are enough various boots to outfit a battalion. A large hole is broken through a side wall. The door is toen down. The building took several ballista bolts during the battle. At the far end of the building, there is a single wide table. The heavy chest is on the floor, broken, a large supplement of coins from it now covers the floor.
The Keep: Was once a tall, proud building. Now a mighty large pile of rubble. There is one (covered) pit in the center of the first floor, with something glowing below.
The Temple: Tall and proud, beautiful building of white marble, a solid first floor surrounded by columns is supporting several ring-shaped floors held up by beautiful marble supports. A deep pool of shiny, clear water can be seen inside the building. Well, it probably was like that. The entire thing has recently tried to rise up in mighty wrath as a gigantic statue of a carp, but failed miserably and broke to pieces. Afterwards, the overpowered Rooster single-handedly sent the whole place into oblivion along with the elves, who now cannot be seen, heard, or even smelled by anyone other than themselves.
------------
Background: [4] You notice the band of monsters with the chief badguy, who or whatever he is, finally starting to approach the keep.
