I've recently started playing DF in Adventurer mode, and I was wondering - if I set a tree or something on fire, will it eventually ignite a wooden building that's adjacent?  Or am I wasting my time?

It will ignite wooden doors if theres grass connecting it to the door, but it wont light wooden buildings on fire at all. Not untill toady makes buildings flamible at least.

Ok, thanks.  That means I should stop setting every tree in town on fire, eh?  Just makes a mess.

What I like to do, is set something on fire and then go to sleep at a safe distance. I find it funny to see the fire spreading out in a ring of fire. Then I go down, down down (in a body of water) and the flames go higher. Oooh, it burns, burns, burns. The ring of fire.
