Yes, I am referring to that.
One thing I do wonder is the idea of 'Multis' in a simulation. I know that many people are just referring to this as "ballot stuffing", but the idea of receiving funds illegally, attempting to frame someone for the act of making fake accounts, or creating "slaves" that can easily man your sweatshops for $0 makes me wonder about Multis in general some more, and the Sockpuppeter that controls them. This isn't just "ballot stuffing". This is the creation of androids.
'Multis' subvert the simulationist nature of the game. Here, the keys to a perfect utopia is right in front of us, no need to resort to Socialism. We can having a bunch of people voting for the Nation, slaving for the Nation, giving money to the Nation, etc. Why be selfish and only benieft from the fruits and labor of the Multis? Why not share the beniefts to the entire Nation?
The reason most people don't engage in such a thing is because we are restrained by a sense of fair play, that we want the game to be simulationist and we want fair competition. And yet...I still can't shake the idea that 'multis' may lead to the utopian society that many leaders in eRepublik dream of. Prehaps this is why Multis are used, altough usually to benieft the owner, and not to benieft society as a whole.
Multis are made less powerful in V1 (thankfully), but even then, I don't think they lost the capacity to be used as slaves.
