done.

i hope people don't mind if i didn't write anything about it...
i didn't think i would ever run for the congress. and i don't have a newspaper.
i ran ,mainly to help my party, that needed a candidate in central thailand. but if i get elected, i promise i will do my best to make thailand a better place, by using my vote as wisely as i can.
most of you barely know me in erepublik, and i haven't spoken much; how can you be sure that i will do a good work as a congressman? you can't. neither can i. but , while i am still new as a politician, i'll work to be better, to improve myself.
and i'll spellcheck my post (if you read them, you will find that they have many errors).
also, if i get elected, i'll use part of the money to make a newspaper, to communicate both with the people who voted me and those who didn't.

Ouch..  No, not a good post.  That makes people not want to vote for you.  "I'm only doing this for my party"?   You have to say things like:

Quote
"Making eThai a better place is what everyone wants.  So why choose me over one of my opponents?  Simple: I know what it takes to make things right.  I see what the people are saying and I'm just as pissed off as the rest of you.

Why aren't things getting done?
Why are the same corrupt people in charge?
Why do we have no workers?.
Why do we have no international clout?

Those who have been trying to control us for so long have been doing so to benefit themselves.  This is the chance for eThailanders to make a difference.  This is the chance for us to take a stand against the corrupt and unethical "leadership" with which we've stomached for far to long, to bring the power and wealth of eThai back home to where it belongs.

Vote for me for Central eThailand congress.  Because your voice is your vote, and your vote is more important than ever.  No more corruption.  No more bad leadership.  This is how we change the future.  This is how we crush corruption.  THIS is how we fix our problems and make eThai the world leader it deserves to be."

Notice how I said absolutely nothing about any polices, because I assume by your indifference that you have no ideas about policy.  So instead you have to appeal to the people's basic instinct: the idea that they deserve better than the current situation because they are better than the current situation.  The idea that you know how to get them what they "deserve".

And whatever you do don't come off as sheepish and shy.  You're trying to get their votes not their sympathy!

Also, what's your eRepublik name?

you know, there IS a reason why i didn't ask anyone to post it in erepublik.
and i wrote it on 5 minutes while writing that post, for some unknown reason. i know it is a bad post.

notice, however, how most things you wrote, said by me, would be just lies.
i, in fact, know almost nothing about how things work.
in a few days i could make a good post about why people should vote me, while still telling the truth.

at the moment, it is better if i just don't say anything.
i just let you know that i iwll do what is my duty and right to do: read what the other congressmen propose, and vote for what i think is right.

Heh, just change "So why choose me over one of my opponents?  Simple: I know what it takes to make things right.  I see what the people are saying and I'm just as pissed off as the rest of you. " to "We all have questions:"

No lies :)

Wallish: depressingly, it doesn't really matter what any of us put for our justification. There's going to be no serious contest for any seat outside the South, and I suspect it's not even going to matter there because of the five wildcard seats. Currently, it looks like contesting a seat will be sufficient to win it.

Furthermore... this is eThailand. No matter how much we want people to vote for the "right" reasons, they're just going to vote according to party diktats. Sad, but true. Rationales are superfluous in the current political atmosphere.

Makes me wonder a bit about when we first entered eRepublik, how our political party endorsed the man who is responsible for the current situation in eThailand.

Heh, this game continues to show how it's the most realistic game I've ever seen.

Makes me wonder a bit about when we first entered eRepublik, how our political party endorsed the man who is responsible for the current situation in eThailand.

The consensual illusion that he wasn't as corrupt as his predecessors, an utter lack of transparency on his part, and an unwavering refusal to understand how the game's economy worked on theirs.

Or more succinctly, laziness and naiveté.

(Recall that prior to Beorn, a1s, and I opening the floodgates of economically informed scathing, TRP "criticism" consisted of accusations that Rockman was stealing LCP's "good ideas" for fixing the economy...)

Rockman isn't entirely responsible for the problems in eThailand. Before him there were at least a few incredibly corrupt presidents as well. Granted Rockman continued the corruption and then tried to destory all non TNT companies with his tax plan, you can say he didn't help. The fact is is that no one bothered to figure out what actually went into the economy and how to make money. The best way to run a small country economy is to massively inflate your currency so that you produce products at a vastly lower cost in gold compared to other countries. Shame Rockman before V1 decided to increase the bahts value in contradiction to this fact.

Its billed as a social, economic, and military simulator. Unfortunately its too simple to be considered any of those.

Running for congress in Central Thailand. And Micro, it's a browser based game kind of like the west or KOL if you're wondering what type.

EThai Congressional Election Guide

Note that we've only fights on our hands in the NE and E. If I had been less paranoid, I should have asked one candidate from each of those to shift to the North, at which point TRP would have simply won every seat they contested. That's honestly a sad testament to the activity level and engagement on display in eThailand. Hat Yai is the only region that will see a serious contest, but even there only just barely. There's 12 candidates for 7 seats... but there's also 5 wild cards, so even that might not matter. Wisdom in East Thailand may get hammered, but if we have 2 non-candidates to the East, it would probably be enough to make sure he at least got a wildcard. The TDP candidate in the NE is the only member of that party present, so they'll likely fare poorly so long as all our candidates can get at least two votes. Which, yuck, means I need to determine if we have three non-candidates in the NE.
