The latter, Wooty. Since elections are regional, we need to try to guess where TNT is going to strongly contest and coordinate where allied parties are going to strongly contest. Bangkok is obviously going to be a mess. We're trying to hit North and Northeast; Sabai is going to fight tooth and nail for the South.

Omaga, it is my understanding that so long ass you're only moving about within the country it's safe to do so.

And on a related note, would it be possible for me to find 2-3 volunteers amongst you to switch to the Estonian's party for the election? They need at least 2 more members to break into the top 5, and have requested we lend them members. Ideally, I'd prefer to lend them someone not running for Congress who resides in the Central region, but if no such person exists, anyone would do.

Though if I can't find volunteers to switch temporarily here or in the larger TRP, they could switch to TRP for the election, then switch back... but I understand their reluctance to do so if avoidable.

Omaga: yes. Even if you're elected to Congress with a party, you can immediately switch to another after the elections; no limitations are in place regarding this.

One other note: Urist Mountainhomes should be finishing its first Q3 on Thursday. I may bide my time in placing it on the market, as a number of Q2s are due to come up at more or less the same time.

The major problem is that a fair asking price for it is 1100-1200... and it will probably be a solid miracle if we can sell it for a break-even price of 900. The market being what it is, we may not be able to sell it for anything but a loss. We'll see how it goes. If it goes badly enough, I might suggest the lot of us shift to work for the government's Defense System company for a while, but hopefully the eThai market isn't as grim as I anticipate.

Question about jobs: I currently have a job with Andal's Iron (good pay, 8THB for a skill 2!) and am level 5.  Should I stay in the raw resources field or should I switch over to manufacturing/construction, or even switch from an iron production company to grain/wood (I can stomach the pay drop if it's required).

When I reach 6 I can join a party, right?  So I should join up with the TRP?  What's the difference between the TRP and the Sabai Unity Party as far as policies?

Anyone mind filling me in on what the deal with Rockman9 was?  He looted the country or something?  And what the hell was with that dumbass trying to get a measure passed to give gold to his company?  Is the TNT really that obviously corrupt or was that guy really acting alone like he said (I don't believe it was a "joke").

So many questions...

One of the posts mentioned some sort of election bug.  I remember that it on the wiki that TRP got 50% of the votes but only 8 seats while TNT got 30% to 26 seats.  That's a hell of a bug.

It was bad, but not that bad. TRP got ~30% of the vote I think; TNT got 30%. TRP got ~20% of the Congressional seats; TNT got 66%.

Incidentally: if you want to run for Congress, nominate yourself on the party page. TNT is running 3 candidates in every region expect the South, where they have 5. We're mostly centered in Central and Northeast at the moment. Sabai is going to have an ugly fight on its hands in the South, as they're fielding 7 against TNT's 5. I would like to see one or two people contest in the North, as Cavalcanti ha planned to organize that region but went back to Brazil when the war was declared. We currently have no candidates there. I'm not sure any party but TNT does, in fact. If someone wants to move there and contest but can't afford a Moving Ticket, send me a PM in eRep, and I can send you one.

I'm going to sit down tonight and try to figure out exactly how many voters are where, and maybe do some last-minute shuffling accordingly. Ugh. </3 the new Congressional system.
