Congrats gator. Always good to hear about countries breaking away from tyrannical overlords.

I think i might join you in your crusade for a free eAustralia when V1 hits. I am getting sick of eThailand, I want to visit different parts of the eWorld and see how it functions elsewhere.

Beorn: I read a modest chunk of the TNT forum. I'm torn between saying it was awful and (unintentionally) hilarious. I'm not entirely surprised that they showed no more sign of discussing issues over there than they do in eRepublik...

[e] I particularly liked their plan to establish salaries for "Minister" posts... which they implied would be going mostly to TNT members. At least now it makes sense why they were going on about how generous Rockman was being to give anyone outside TNT a Ministry...

Yeah its kinda scary. If they actually had a plan I would be less worried but the fact that they are dedicated to keeping themselves in power reminds me too much of American senators.

Also I'm working on the salary and gift benefits plan for Urist's Mountainhomes. Should be fun specially since my computer is directly under a vent with AC running and its 50 degrees out.

Edit: Rody, I just read your latest article. I agree with everything except boycotting the companies that pay below minimum wage to those who ask for it. For instance, the 2 companies set up through this forum were designed to maximize long term profit and hopefully hit Q5 within a reasonable time. To do that it was determined that we would take a below average salary to allow maximum profit. This profit was then reinvested to allow us to upgrade. By taking below average wages we shortened the time needed to build up to the next higher quality. In the case of Urist's Mountainhomes, those who take lessened wages were the ones who initially invested in it and thus own part of it. With a stake in any profits it makes in the long term and being a housing company that takes a while to get started, we reduced our wages to enable us to work on minimum start up capital.

Only in an incidental way does reduced salary affect others. By providing cheap food and housing we allow more workers to save money for those things that really matter: GUNS AND BOOZE.

Well, Beorn, that provision is actually essentially unenforceable, as there's not way of knowing that a company's workers are voluntarily taking sub-minimum wages unless the management publicly declares them to be... and it that'd get them boycotted, they'd have no reason whatever to do so.

But otherwise, yes, I agree that workers who want to help a company get off the ground or help it through a dry spot should be able to take lower wages if they chose.

Yes I see your point Beorn and Albright, and I say this: If you workers EACH ONE of them come and tell me that they like the wages they have the way they are, it will be ok. The minimum wage proposals is to stop other companies making their workers slaves, but since you company is filled with friends then you guys decide between urselvs ok, but then again all those proposals will only be enacted iin v1 since the economy system will change

So please think because a week after v1 launches I would like an answer from you guys, either to decide to obey the minimum wage(which v1 will let us do) or if the owners and workers agree 100% on being paid less then minimum ok

and remember re-elect Luis Carlos Prestes as party president

Thanx guys!

Meh its still unenforceable. All it does is add extra work for small business owners. All we would have to do is take the minimum wage and donate it back. The only thing it would do at that point is generate far more revenue for the government.

In v1 minimum wages will be enforced according to the new game code

and also transaction reports of companies will be used so we can see if the workers send money back or no to the owner

Thank you as always
and remember vote for Luis Carlos Prestes for TRP President and a Better eThailand

Interesting in real life some economists believe that eliminating the Minimum wage will result in higher wages due to competition between buisnesses. (I of course do not really believe this claim... mostly because even with Minimum wages many companies have found ingenious ways to institute slave labor)

And yet others say that minimum wage increases unemployment because companies can no longer afford poorly skilled workers. Also in this context government companies can force other companies out of business . While I don't see that happening with Luis and Rody, under Rockman there could be serious problems with that.

Insomnia Edit: Splash_OS has a 1gold = 1000THB offer up on the money market selling one gold.

Continuing Insomnia Edit: Evidently TNT is going to fude us and use a final solution. Also they think our opposition is boring and are pissed at s33vald. So we are doing a good job.

Edit: Well no one likes TNT anymore and are getting very vocal about it.

Under mine leadership and Luis's the government companies will not undermine to work of other companies, we just had to step in and change the things the way they were, and I even posted a huge wall of text explaining EVERY step we did to regulate the govt companies, we are very transparent unlike Rockman

and once we can get our economy stabilized, the government companies will hold back and will only sell goods if a company starts to monopolize the market with high prices, but that seems unlikely...so government companies in very very soon time, will start acting as a stepping stone for workers as we will be basically a training company

Thank you and remember VOTE LUIS CARLOS PRESTES as ur TRP party president and next president of Thailand

As a formal point of reference, I've been asked to stand in TRP's party elections. I'm going to go ahead and do so; rationale laid out here.
