Umm... so... are we going to see an active election campaign out of TRP? As it stands, we have Rockman on the run, adopting the by half-measures protectionist policies that a week ago he was renouncing as destructive and stupid... but we don't have an alternative leader presenting themself.

I suppose I can type up another broadside, but as I'm not the presidential candidate, it'll be less forceful... especially since I'm not certain Luis shares my vision 100%, as I still don't actually know what his platform is, even though the general election is in 4 days...

Also: what's our congressional slate?

Yes... but the next general elections are probably not going to be v1. V1 hits sometime between 01/10 an 15/10. Unless it hits on 01/10, we have one more old-style congressional election... and thus we need to prepare a candidate slate.

then its like this..when we vote for president..we can vote for a party also..so if we all vote TRP that means more space for us..11% as of now we have 4 members..so more percentage d better...so d next elections d trp congressmen dat r there now will come bak..plus d new ones

the ! the! not d! the!.(i had to tell it. now you can keep using "d" instead of "the")

but main reason i am posting is: how do i vote? i tryed to do that for mayors, but couldn't find it

(also, if somebody is going to say that i use no capital letters and i make several spelling errors, i already know it. but that "d" thing is annoying for me)

You miss the point, though. As had been previously discussed, we young turks want some guarantee that we'll see equal representation with the old guard in the congress. Hence, we'd like some assurance of this in advance in the form of a formalized slate (i.e., an ordered list of who will be given a seat for up to however many seats we get) giving equal precedence to members of both factions... in order to help erase said factions' very existences. You know, that whole reaching-out-to-erase-divides thing.

Also, Luis needs to get out there and campaign. Even if only in Portuguese, but better by far in English, broken or otherwise. Rockman is vulnerable, but there's no alternative being offered up. Jack Roberts just posted a nice article that subtly undermines the current regime's policies while asking for a vision for the future. This is a great opportunity to pile on and roundly criticize TNT's neoliberal policies and lack of direction... and the context allows for it to be done in a relatively apolitical, high-handed manner, as long as it's done with tact.

Guys, I proposed my presidency and open a topic for the Congress nomination.

Everybody can participate in the Congress. After everyone signed up, I will make a vote to decide the order of preference. Let's be quick to give time to do everything that we need. I want to make the vote in 2 days.

Campaign Proposals:
