Wondering where Urist's Mountainhomes (yes, the unofficial, more dwarvy-sounding name is now the official one... half-tempted to drop the "'s" as well ) should ultimately be going. At the moment, there's only two active investors left: Beorn and me. The company has 20g in its account. That would buy an export license. If we instead scraped together 30g more*, we could push up to Q3; there are no Q3 housing manufacturers in eThailand. Or we could sink the Gold into a new company.

If we go Q3, I'd want to see all of our former employees get a Q2 House before we did so. Even if we don't, this is something I want to see done. Currently we only have 2 active employees working (plus 2 inactive padding the roster), so building is slow. I'm going to try to dole out the Houses to those who worked the longest for the least first; I'll put myself last in line. If you're a UMH employee and already have a House, I'm willing to see trading up. If you win the Housing lotto and have a Q2 House, but your service merited getting you a Q2, I'd probably be amiable to the idea of trading up should we upgrade.

*I tentatively have 5g of my own pending admin inaction on the trial Beorn called for. I'm creeping up on Hard Worker and Super Soldier medals; that'd be 10g more. IOW, we'd probably shortly only need 15g.

I get the feeling that I won't be able to get a trial even though I followed the rules for getting one. Rockman has admitted he is doing this solely because he finds it fun and doesn't care about others enjoyment. By mid November I should have the hard worker award and another 5 gold so thats 20 gold altogether. I think we at least need to wait to see who is going to win the election, though with Rockman supporting s33vald and not himself, I'm not sure what the trickery is there.

Early this morning Antonio was still counting TNT Congressional votes and talking about "setting the whorehouse on fire" (Rody's translation) tomorrow, so I wouldn't be shocked if they try to pull an eleventh-hour attack on ePakistan.

Well, Zach, no rush. I don't wanna upgrade UMH until we have at least 5 actives with Houses, preferably Q2. It's gonna hurt to work in a Q3 factory w/o a House... hell, under v1 Wellness calculation, it'll hurt to work in one with a House.

Daily gifts from the company to workers will be nigh-mandatory.

At some point we can try to get you a House if absolutely nothing else... given the eThai market, it'll be a miracle if we ever make back any investments we make, so an actual repayment of Gold is indeed unlikely.

So, um... do we have any doughty dwarfs with Construction skill who want to come work for Urist's Mountainhomes? Pay is 6 baht per day, plus an effective stake in the company as an owner-operator type person; at some point when we can we'll make good on this to ya. Once we're Q3, pay will still be 6 baht, but the company will help with Gifts to keep Wellness up. If you used to work for us, and want to come back, we can delay upgrading until we get you a House at a discount rate (depending on how long you worked for us before and how low pay you were taking... if you were a de facto slave who worked with us forever, the House is on the house).

I'm currently working at Katran's wood plant to try and get some wood going. I got about a 4.05 in construction so if you need me to come back I got mad skillz. That would make a total of three actives. If you want me to do the gifting, its no trouble. Been doing it on my own for the most part trying to get new workers more wellness in various non TNT run businesses. At 50 cents a gift its been fairly easy to do. Only problem is the damn decimal's. Stupid admins not being smart and allowing wellness over 100 just rounded down from the decimal. Can't top off people without that. Grrr.

Edit: Given that TNT has large chunks of ready capital and only Q2 houses tops because that was all that was for sale, we probally gonna sell half a dozen Q3 houses easy to them. Then when we get into power we raise housing tax to 100 billion dollars or we blow up bangkok. /drevilfinger.

If you guys need any funding to pay the bill for a month or whatever, i'm here to help. Maybe if things start going well we can provide housing with bay12games members as long as they stay with us, not sure how likely that is. I don't know anybody with high construction skill unfortunately, but I may be able to see if I can get some new players into this.
