Alright TNT is definately going to screw eThailand over. I've asked Rody to translate a few phrases I found on their website that didn't get translated by Google. I'm starting to get worried since if they get everyone in at once they can pass almost anything.

I dont see any hope for Thailand, as 20 days for the next general elections is too much, and the next president won't be able to change the country from one night to the other, nor LCP or Jack, or anyone, will be able to change the country before we get taken over

Calm down everyone. The day may yet be saved. I can still come up with a way to peserve eThailand's indepedence, however eThailand will not be an indepedent country.

It all depends on WHO takes over eThailand.

If it is eIndonesia, we could then contact the leadership of eIndonesia, appointing somebody as ambassador (I volunteer, as long as I don't have to log back into eRepublik to do the negogations). In return for accepting eIndonesia's federal rule and protection, eIndonesia will call us an indepedent 'republic', under the "Union of Indonesian Republics" and will give us a precentage of the tax reveune to the "eThailand Republic" SO. eThailand will have their own seperate national elections, and will use that money to aid eThais (sorta like "social security"). Truem, eIndonesia might not accept this, but it would seem like a peaceful solution.

If it is ePakistan, all we have to do is convert to Dioism, and then plea to Dio to let us have self-rule (and a precentage of tax revenue). The act of swearing alligence to the God Emperor may be too much for us to handle (and the God Emperor may, in his infinite wisdom, refuse to part with his cash), so yeah, we're doomed. The good news is that I don't think TNT would do something like this (altough I have been wrong before).

It's not as romantic as being fully indepedent rather than just being an autonomous republic, but it's the only way I can see eThailand stay alive.

Truthfully, I don't think we need to worry. 300 gold plus 20% of that regions population in gold to start a war means that no one is gonna bother us unless they need to go through one of our regions on the way to someone else. Not really. While I know I didn't do that article on ePakistan, I should state that the reason ePakistan is so successful is because they are united together for one purpose. Dioism (which I must point out is supposed to be a satire of religion) helps to contribute to that unifying purpose.

Actually, I think what is more likely is that Rockman declares war on another country, using OUR country's money. Then Rockman would leave office, and that second country will march in and take over. It is usually done during political takeover to avoid having the allies of the nation you want to take over to automatically intervene for free.

@Servant: We have 23 gold in the treasury. If the government prints a large chunk of currency we can get a total of 51 gold. Thats all the gold thats available in eThailand at the current time. Granted he could take a donation from the country that wishes to conquer us, but I think we could get the admins to step in at that point.
