my own Q1 house cost me 555 THBs when I bought it. Offcourse back then gold went for 500THB a pop, so the prices might have gone down since (the government is burning money to cause deflation= lowering of prices).

anyway, seeing how there aren't any houses we can just start at 500 and look where that takes us.

I'm willing to work with either of our companies (as I have both gift and Housing exp), however I must warn you that Housing needs the most initial capital (Q1 houses need 200 work units to be built. with 1.6 skill, and wellness in the high 80s, I produce 3.3 units per day).

P.S. about buying out the competition: if they're selling the company, that means they are not able to run it at a profit, they were probably not much of a competition to begin with. The good thing is that it sill has 362 THBs in it's coffers (for salaries), which would have cost us and aditional 4.7 gold if we bought it on the market, bringing the total cost down to but 36.3 gold. (but we don't want people to move away,so...)

I am interested in investing too. Only have 5 invites for now though.. and no gold. I have seen people set up some sort of holding account, so the company can be owned by may people. Is this something that should be looked into?

EDIT2: New Housing Company, this time in the amoral economic powerhouse of Romania. We need 80 Gold to buy the company, but it already have 2 export licenses, so we can sell to other markets if need be. Don't forget 25 Gold for our very own stuff. The problem is that Romania's currency is pretty strong, meaning that its imports are going to be pretty expensive for us.

This is a cheaper Housing Company in Romania, this one cost 60 Gold but has no export licenes, so the first one is a better deal.

The cost for 1 Quality House in Romania is 336.532 THB.

Anyway, regardless, it is likely more effective to just build a Housing Company in Thailand by ourselves. Only 40 Gold. We can spend 25 Gold to gain import liceneses and import houses over to other countries with higher exchange rates (so as to get them interested to buy our stuff)...

EDIT: GAH! Not only are there no Food being sold in the marketplace, a Housing Company came in with a 2 quality House for 1589.50 THB!

(When I immigrated, someone was selling THB at a 1 THB/0.003g exchange rate, so I have well more THB than I "should").

Don't know about the food shortage - I must say it kinda worries me. Especially since I just bailed out of the Food industry into Housing. I personally have enough stores to see me through almost a month without starving, but my wellness will suffer if I can't score some more Q3 grub within a week.
