Well, I need 25 Gold for the Export Licenese in addition to any Gold needed to buy a company. I finally found a company that is selling at 35 Gold, a Weapons Company.

Buying the Moving Company would cost a total of 75 Gold, and the Weapons Company would cost a total of 55 Gold. I'm going to also want to factor in 1 Gold because I think the game wants us to pay workers in PTE (don't worry, I believe the PTE's currency is 'relatively fixed', the hyperinflation was intended). As for the possible profit, well, that I haven't thought of...I'll think about it after I finish writing some essay. brb

EDIT: Also, I need to study more about how the planned economy of Portgual works, at least for the weapons market.

At the very least, this confirms what we speculated. No fakes were used. That's somewhat good news. Rody blamed 'radicals' for making the few fakes that were discovered, but also condemned what Zach has done too.

Even after the votes got disqualified, giving Zach the narrow win, Luis is still party president. Should someone ask the admin to do some sort of action to put Zach to the post or something?

i've answered most of the questions they have on various articles, but i'll send a couple more messages to Luis and Rody. I'm sure we can come to a favorable agreement, and am a bit surprised they didn't use their connections before when they had 4 people or so. All in all i'm sure we can turn this into a benefit for TRP, bay12games, and erepublik.

I know people don't speak English as a first language but could they not speak internet instead. The way I see it Lois lost 5 votes and lost the election.  Zac doesn't need to apologize (if that is what he said) because ANYONE could run for the party election. Hell Mr.T could run if he signed up and he probably would have won. I think an admin should look at the results but cant say if its going to change anything. Also how can they make us make our own party?

a1s, anyone else who is interested in investing: An update on the Possible Company.

In Portgual, there is a trade agreement that means that there will be no import taxes. This is a pretty nice deal to have. Plus, Portgual charges zero taxes whatsoever, so it's a pretty good place to own a business.

If you want to buy the Weapon Company (which cost 55 Gold including the trade license), then we can sell the quality 1 weapons for 14.17 THB. This is lower than the current value on the Thailand market, 18 THB. If you want to buy the Moving Company (which cost 75 Gold including the trade license), we can sell quality 1 Moving Tickets at a value of 56 THB. Currently, Thailand is selling tickets at 240 THB. I'll budget 1-2 gold for paying salary. The prices I quote are prices that are the lowest going rate in the Portgual/Thailand economy at the moment.

A good/bad thing about the Weapon Company is that they currently have employees, so we don't have to go search for them.

As for profit, er. The reason I came up with this idea was to help eThailadn out, but...How about the idea of spiltting it 50-50?

20 - 80 in dwarf fortresses national treasurey's (DNT) favor, which we should probly create btw. Another BTW (using that alot lately arnt I..) I have a rather high weapons skill, 3,70 ish..give or take a 20. I'll work at the company if im able to from thailand.

-edit- the 20-80 for now at least For sure you will get mutch more out of it once we have a foot hold in something. Hell, that might get reversed and you might be taking in eighty percent of the profet.

Well, Mulch Diggums, I'm willing to accept any fair divison of profits as soon as I receive the Gold and the companies are bought out.

I think you can work at the company even if you are in Thailand, but I am not sure. Doesn't really matter that much anyway, though.

Well, honestly we don't want people leaving eThailand so I would think the weapons company would be better. That being said there isn't really a market for weapons either in eThailand. If you could get a housing company that would be a great benefit but its up to you. Anyone else want to join PM me and I can send some gold for the purchase of the company for a couple of percent of the profit to be applied to various dwarven mandates.

I am going to look for housing companies that are on sale, but if not, we can go out and create our own. Overall, creating a Company with 40 Gold does sound cheaper than buying a Company from somewhere else, especially with the lack of needing an Export License.

Actually, there is a Moving Company closer to home, with a cost of 41 Gold. The advantage to buying this company is symbolic: We bought out the competition!

(EDIT: I found a Housing Company in Greece, with a tax rate of 10% on imports, however it costs 60 Gold+25 Gold Export License, meaing a total of 85 Gold, so it may be better to just build a Housing Company in Thailand instead, and save money.) A 1 Quality House in Greece cost 327 THB. Adding in the import tax, it would be 359.7 THB. Anyone remember how expensive the Houses in Thailand was?

In addition to Housing, Thailand lacks Gifts. Now, there is a Gift Thai company that just touted its upgrading to QL 2, but it's not clear if this will mean an increase in reasonably-priced Gifts on the market - the current 14 THB for a QL 2 Gift is ridiculous.
