My manufacturing skill is slowly, little by little, creeping up. How many guns are we producing at the moment and are you selling them on the market?

I'd be happy to buy them from you rather than someone else, despite higher prices, just to support the company.

This is really great. I raised wages a bit, and we now have seven workers, and we're pumping out 7 weapons a day! At competitive rates, this is about 20 PYG per day, more than enough to pay our workers. I've been trying to drive down prices by selling lower than everyone else, but we don't have enough stock to do so - we sell out almost as soon as we stock them, we price them so low... maybe later.

You don't need to buy guns from the company, we sell out very fast. I'd recommend maybe saving up for a house or something instead.

Also, since I raised wages, I'm raising all your wages too, to make it fair. Starting workers get 2.1 PYG, workers with 1+ skill get 2.3 PYG, workers with 2+ skill get 2.5 PYG, and workers with 3+ skill get a whopping 3 PYG per day!

I don't think it's really fair that I should get vast quantities of filthy lucre just because I was lucky or forward enough to be a company manager, so there you go. I'll just get enough cash to pay off my loans, then almost all our profits should go to the workers.

So I sent a message to new workers (well, actually, only one that isn't from Bay12) to tell them about our rewards program. I'm just putting this here so I'll remember it later:

Hola! Gracias!

Hello! I don't speak Spanish very well, but I know a little, and I want to talk to you about your salary. Your salary was 2.10 PYG. But, you have 1 manufacturing skill, so I raised it to 2.30 PYG. If you have 2 manufacturing skill, I will raise it to 2.5 PYG. If you have 3 manufacturing skill, I will raise it to 3 PYG! It is our thanks for working hard. Thank you!

Yeah, sweet.

By the way, i blew my 5 gold on some five star food and the rest is in pyg now, so i can get some killer wellness pretty quick here.

EDIT:

By the way, i think your business strategy is briliant, your the only person that seems to be able to tap into the minimum wage market that wants weapons.

Zac, I notice that there is no quality 4 or 5 grain for sale, yet there is quality 5 food being sold. This means that possibly there is a shortage of qual 4 and 5 grain. Meanwhile there is a lot of competition from tier 1 and 2, and it lessens for quality 3. I'll keep an eye on the market the next few times I log in, but I'd suggest maybe switching the grains corp to a higher quality grain, even though the food corp might have to buy from a non bay-12 corp. Besides, the grain corp must have some experienced workers by now. I'm at 2.6 skill and I was the 10th employee there.

Also, Paraguay is allied with both America and Russia at the same time. They're bound to get in trouble sooner or later, so I'm glad we branched out into the weapons market. I think a good idea would be to keep competitive prices or slightly more if we aren't hurting on money, so we can build a weapons stockpile up and then once our large allies start getting into fights we can slash the prices to sell off the stockpile. That way it would be slightly harder to notice what we are doing.

Materials don't work like that. A manufactured good requires an amount of raw material equal to its rating (Q1 food costs 1 unit of material, Q3 food costs 3 units of material, etc). A raw material provides an amount equal to its rating (Q1 grain is worth 1 unit, Q3 grain worth 3 units). It really doesn't matter whether you make Q3 food with 3 pieces of Q1 grain or 1 piece of Q3 grain. Since raw material companies get a production penalty for being higher quality, and workers spend more wellness working for a higher quality company, it's silly to have a Land-skill company above Q1.

We do have a lot of skill in Charmin Grains now. Things are looking nice. Trouble is, if we upgrade the company, we'll have to raise wages so people can buy better food. That, or invest in getting everybody high quality houses. I think the latter sounds more economical in the long run.

If you stop working, your hard worker progress is lost.

It requires 30 consecutive days of work, so taking a break is not an option.

That's my point. Up until tomorrow, I've been eating Q.1 Food, which is pretty crap. As a result my wellness is rubbish. I was wondering if Q2 Food will give me enough wellness daily to survive working every day.

Food gives you it's qality in wellness.

Furthermore, your current wellness is converted to a multiplier where wellness gains are doubled at 0, normal at 50, halved at 100, and between those, it scales.

So, to maintain 100 wellness, you need to gain twice as much as you lose each day. Working at a Q2 company, that means you must gain 4 wellness per day to maintain 100. I made that easy for myself with a Q3 house :).

At a Q1 company, eating Q1 food, you should eventually balance out towards 50 wellness, unless you have also been doing other things that affect your wellness, such as moving, recieving gifts, training, fighting, houses, and likely others.
