Ive got fallout, enjoyable but very short term, main story was like a demo, thats my view. Please dont shoot me
but I can see why original fallout 2 fans arent happy, I mean lets face it; its thank to them the game made it and betheshda has essentially changed the genre. I aint going to sit here and argue though, I actually came on here to ask one thing, is there a proper modding kit out for F3 , i.e TES?
As fo it being one of the best RPGs ever, well everyones entitled to their opinion and I would say no its knowhere near best RPG ever UNLESS you rate the dues EX games really highly and they are everything you would see embodied in your favourite RPGS. To me betheshda games are good for people just comming into the RPG games and maybe have some preconcieved ideas of them being for geeks; I had that misconception years back and now I guess I have turned out loving anything and everything RPG
I think betheshda games in the MODERN sense are good entry level games but for the hardcore D&D types which used to play all the D&D roleplaying games as kids I doubt F3 is going to keep them happy long.
The game feels rushed, you cant even join factions and the choices mean nothing, well all but the Nuke. I liked it but I just get the distinct feeling games are fast becommimng a case of "Lets rush them half done out the door and sell them 100 installments as a franchise"
I also reckon morrowind had far superior content and storyline than oblivion but I know many people disagree. For fallout 3 to have been epic it would have had to have had significant replay value but not many people will go through the whole game more than once imo. F2 was a turn based game which involved alot of tactics where as the only tactics needed in F3 is press the vats key , end of story so I aint surprised some of the old fans are a bit miffed but I guess thats just me
