Now I can understand using the oblivion physics engine. Alright, it is a physics engine. No problem. It is the fact that they have the same voice actors that ticks me off. And they even use the same style, too! It's Oblivion in the future!
Now I have never played the original Fallout games so I don't know what people expect from it, but here are the highlights of what I saw:
-Huh, cave texture seems familiar...
-Change your face right before the grate exiting the tutorial area? Gee, where have I seen THAT before?
-Alright, slightly better landscape. Although it is all brown. Shape and texture is nice, just bring some green! Jeez...
-Huh, robot...
-Nice city, although the townsfolk seem kinda familiar...
-Wait a minute, I remember that quest giver! He was the Dark Brotherhood quest giver!
-Amusing that you don't want to mess with a nuke, but I don't see how a few extra points helps. Eh...
-Alright, comba-wait a second, this all seems familiar...
-WAUGH! TITAN FIST!
-WAUGH RAILROAD GUN!
-Huh, with all this limb severing, this would be ideal for Dw-
-NO! NONONONO! DF SHALL NEVER BE COMBINED WITH THIS!!
-Hold on, I recognize the voice of that doorman...
-You know, I know this guy is trying to sound annoyed, but he is just too damn nice!
-Huh, relatively nice place... Actual color...
-For a nuke, that was unimpressive. Why can't we get nukes that take several minutes to finish? That make you blind temporarily from seeing it directly? And by temporary, for game balance, I mean half a day.
And that was just from the intro videos.
