Alright, this BS about 'butchering' Fallout has got to stop. We all agree that "Brotherhood of Steel" didn't happen, so that means there were exactly three Fallout games. Tactics wasn't made by the original Interplay guys either, so let's say the "lore" of the "franchise" comes from two games, released over ten years ago. At the time, people decried the second game as stepping too far away from the "lore" with it's Doctor Who references and wacky joke vaults.
Let me break it down. There is no 'Fallout' lore. There is no 'real' Fallout game that Bethesda 'should' be making. They bought the rights to a small, if notable, franchise that peetered out a decade ago, and are now making a title they decided would work best for them to make. Like Fallout 3 or don't, and remember that you haven't seen anything but some screenshots and a couple very short videos, but quit saying there's some other game Bethesda was 'supposed' to make and that this is somehow raping your nostalgia.
By the way, just a tip that all internet arguers should learn - 'right' and 'wrong' without definition, are not descriptions. All that comes out when you say "they're doing it wrong" is "I want something that validates my concept of a perfect game and respects my imagined memory of enjoying past titles, but I'm not willing or able to describe it."
