On another note, my dwarves seem to be remaining in a state of eternal KO'dness. I understand it for the one with the bruised neck and slightly damaged head, but not for the slightly damaged hand.

Oh, and to clarify: They've been KO'd since a fight two years ago.

I have a dwarf who got his left arm mangled while petting an alligator three years ago; he's been unconscious ever since. The wound has healed from red to yellow so it should be time to wake up soon.

If they haven't starved to death they must've woken up for at least some short periods, or so I would assume.

I've noticed the unconscious on all my injured dwarves. Have many injured, a few miners from cave in goofs, and the rest from zombies, fist fights and/or beatings. Anyway I noticed every time I checked on how their wounds were doing that they were also unconscious regardless of the wound. Eventually I did notice they were flashing Z, which prompted me to check their current job, which was rest. As such I just figured they're sleeping or trying to sleep until it's time to eat, drink or recover (which all occurs fine so far).

Did have an injured miner (his left leg was still yellow) get up as well for a fey mood, limped to the nearest mason workshop, kicked the mason out, then limped to get all his supplies. He successfully created his artifact and then tried to to bed but was rerescued instead.

Don't remeber if the moody dwarf was before 40c or not though, but do know the unconcious injured dwarves are in 40c.

Dwarves show as "unconscious" whenever they're asleep now.

You sure they doesn't have a random body part injured beyond the regular one? I.e. if you scroll down? Because if not, that sounds really strange..

He has no wounds, no body parts are injured, never been in battle but will go unconscious (NOT SLEEPING) then be stunned, then walk around for a day or 2 then fall unconscious then stunned again. Really weird.

Don't victims of a cave spider bite get stunned? Maybe he was bitten and it adds unconsciousness as well as stunning?

Cave spiders are everywhere.  They appear as vermin (like a single firefly), so they don't show up all the time.

 Cave spiders show up around some underground features. No underground features, no spiders.

I always look out for types of vermin and I have not seen cave spiders.
