When making a post, look down at the big past threads listing.  In the upper right of each on is a "Insert Quote" button.  Does exactly what it sounds like.  Failing that, it's perfectly acceptable to just copy/paste the words you want and attribute the quote.

Using "I'm new at this" as an excuse for gravedigging and doubleposting on an internet forum is like sloshing somebody with ketchup at a fancy dinner and saying "Whoops, sorry, I'm new at this whole social etiquette thing".

Essentially, it doesn't actually work.

By "I'm new at this," I essentially mean, pretty much new to any more advanced technology than a graphing calculator and the Total War/X-com series'. I have particularly technophobic parents.
