I was pretty stoked when I saw this. Also, this is the first time I've ever seen any kind of image/engraving of a single historical figure without them 'doing' something in the engraving. This one appears to be just a simple portrait without its subject taking any sort of action. Is this a feature in the new version?

That's a pretty awesome crown all things considered. I don't know about hairy though. ;)

I use 'Another scheme' from here:

I love it because it makes the normally ultra-bright colors (like microcline and orthoclase) nice and toned-down.

Notice how everyone is so in awe of your fortress/swimming pool to stay on topic.

My fort is filled with artifacts depicting the first king and his various spawn. Mr. Helmedwave is apprently quite popular even if he's been dead for near 20 years now.

No clue - it was probably a bat or a bird of some kind.

Reinhammers has been updated. This is the first fortress I've had survive past the ten-year mark and it's still going strong. This new version of DF rocks.

I'm surprised at the lack of exploratory mining...or was that done in the bottom levels that weren't uploaded? ;p The lack of it definitely makes the fort appear neater than any I've done as mine tend to have massive exploratory mining in the upper sed. levels where I look for fuel/iron.

Oh yeah, my dwarves did what you did, except the crown had diamonds and other such gems on it.
They also made a scepter. Made of yellow diamond. With adamantine on both.
