Sure, seen it a lot. Apartment complexes are big two-level buildings with a corridor and 6 rooms on each level. They're about the same size as a shop, and the door is always in the exact center of either the east or west wall.

two-level buildings

I've seen a three-story apartment complex. It's better to say they are multiple story buildings.

They're also excellent places to be suddenly ambushed from both sides if you're trying to take on a whole city. I've seen a lot of guards use them, and I've had them all wake up around me, block the door, and hit me with two axes at once.

I'm glad that turns out to not have just been my imagination.  I wonder if that's the maximum size, or if a human empire grows for 5000 years they'll have ten story buildings.

Hi!

I've had six story complexes before. Since the construction of towns isn't too polished ATM, it's somewhat vauge on how this exactly works.

When resource tracking is out, it will be made a bit more apparent, hopefully!

Sometimes they're only one-story tall. In smaller towns that is.

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)

16 stories is the tallest one I've seen.

It was a little bizarre.

Somewhat rude there. Besides, every now and then I learn something from these forums.

Well then sorry to the OP, but I'm just tired of all the "OMG I just found a sword, did you know there were SWORDS in adventure mode?" as well as the "Anybody seen this before?  I just saw a wolf!  In ADVENTURE mode!" threads.  I'll ty and be more supportive for the next 500 threads of such content.

501 though?  Oh it's on.
