Life on the haunted glacier
« on: August 26, 2008, 09:10:51 am »

Ive tried to find this on wiki, to no avail.

Wasnt there something about collapsing a section of ice to make water, hence mud, hence farming?

All help welcome. Since I see the first zomibe polar bear has arrived

EDIT: A more detailed explanation of this basically http://mkv25.net/dfma/movie-354-makingwaterfromice

You can always use the possible cheatingly way... make a dirt road on the level where there are ice walls and rock floors and build a farm there. Unless that was fixed already.

Then try making a floor, removing it, then making a farm. That might still work.

It's fixed for the next version, I think. (Lazer's suggestion.)

...you can do that? Well, since I'm in 39E still that'll help a lot ;)
